Lemme tell you about Amity!

My Experience at amity was great. It was just amazing. If only I could do it again I would choose Amity cuz this time I know every bit of it. I even enjoyed hostel life and damn it was good. The only thing I would say is if you have amity in mind then be sure to go for it.

Amity was a really good option for me comparing it with rest of the colleges I had in my area where I lived. Amity had variety of courses, crowd, teachers etc. Bachelor of Commerce honours is a good level course in Commerce stream and most of the students opt for it. I knew that it wouldn't be wise for me go forcefully opt for CA and waste my money so I put some thought in it and choose bachelor of commerce honours. It is also given most preference over other courses like B com program, BBA, BA etc.

Course structure is very well divided into courses and researches at the end of each semester. The research papers are named as NTCC projects and for helping us out throughout the research there are teachers allotted to help at any point of time. Rest course subjects are in good variety and number. Average of 10-11 subjects are there in every semester so that there is not much burden of a huge syllabus of each subject on students. Course structure also includes presentations and such seminars done by institution for students where people with great experience comes and share their knowledge about the subjects and particular topics.

Yes Amity University provides Internship in the beginning of fifth semester for a month. You can either choose a company which college provides or you can arrange an internship from outside too. Amity will help you in that by giving a call letter for Internship to you which gives you access to internship. But there's no stipend offered as it's not a paid internship. It's more of a learning process rather than earning process. I did my internship from Supreme Industries, phase-2,Noida and my experience was really awesome. Not only I learned what a company is, I learnt how a company is. There I learnt how each and everyone cooperates with one another and plays their important role to run the company. I did um internship from outside as the companies offered by college were based in Delhi which would had been quite far from my home so I made my own arrangements. At the end all they require is a Certificate of Internship proving that yes you've done the internship.

Placements and Job Opportunities are really good here. Near about 25+ companies came in my conscious though I didn't took placements because I wanted to go for higher studies. Companies like dell, HCL, KPMG, etc came for placements. The packages amounted to 3,00,000 per annum and at graduation level that is really good. There were a lot of Job Opportunities provided to students.

In Amity there are a lot of events happening around you. In the starting there's this sports day function celebrated on the birthday of owner of Amity i.e; Mr. Ashok Chauhan, but the hype is created since a month and more. Then there's freshers and farewells, celebrities coming in college for promotions, fashion shows, festive events, etc. Then there's the final festive function called the Amity Youth Fest which is like the best 3 days and 3 nights of the whole year of which I used to wait like anything and so does each and every Amitian because it's just amazing.

Fee structure for my course was divided into 2 categories:- Sponsored and Non-Sponsored. The fee for Non-Sponsored category was 41,500 for first and second semester 45,000 for third and fourth and 48,500 for fifth and sixth. For sponsored category it was 61,500 each semester for first year, 65,000 for each semester for second year and 68,500 for each semester in third year. It is quite feasible as the things that college provides comes in this but it's upto you what facilities you enjoy and how much you make of your college.

Amity University provides a scholarship to the best student by giving a relaxation in fees. The only requirement is that you have to perform really good and increase your grades every semester. The college monitors each student's performance and takes care of them accordingly. There was this friend of mine who was the topper of our class and he was the one who enjoyed this scholarship. His fee was only 18,000 per semester where we had to pay 48,000 for the same.

Amity Life was an amazing experience for me. Students from a different part of countries come in amity and live as one. The total crowd of amity numbers to 25,000+ students but when all come together they form 1 Amity. There's a huge Diversity in our college and students from not only India but even foreign are seen. There are a lot of extracurricular activities like road shows and fashion shows, etc done all around the year. Labs are amazing. All types of sports are there you just name it. Even the sports are a part of course structure. Many competitions such as debates are done and students winning them are rewarded equally. They were all fun and knowledgeable at each hand.

I never lived in hostel but I've asked the Experience of my friends who did. According to them it wasn't that bad. They would 4/5 rating for accommodations and mess food. Mess food is was different from the food we get from home and that is one main difference. Rest, every hostel has free WiFi connections. Freedom is given to students but under strict rules and regulations. Hostels are both sharing and independent rooms and air-conditioned and non air-conditioned. Maximum pay is 80,000 INR per year. If you want to go for a PG then there are a lot of PGs in a diameter of 1 km. Average pay is about 12,000 per head.

Alumni network and senior students were amazing. They were like elder Brothers to us. They helped us with anything and everything. At least my seniors were amazing. Not only seniors even the juniors were amazing. If there's a problem you name it and look how the flood of solutions come to you.The time was quite amazing with the seniors.

Exam structure is quite elongated. Since there are a lot of subjects there are a lot of examinations. But the best part is that the syllabus of each subject is not that much that it becomes quite impossible to cover but yes on the other hand it takes about 1 month for examinations to get over as there are a lot of subjects. At the end of the exam it wasn't like at all hot. It was chilled out. Students had their own ways to let off the steam but the exams weren't that frequent. There are a lot of gaps given in between to prepare or enjoy or whatever.

Registration online registering at the campus can both be done. It includes payment for registration of 1100 bucks as registration fee. Then a portal opens where you have to fill all your personal details, educational details, etc. Then there is a short entrance of 30 minutes of English which is just to check your English abilities and then there is Personal Interview for which there are 2 teachers each in a room. The Administration is quite good and very much helpful.

The faculty of college is quite good. They are very polite as well as cooperating with the students. The teachers are classified into 2 categories:- core subject teachers as well as Substitute teachers though both type of teachers are equally qualified. Every teacher is very well qualified in their area of expertise and they have quite a knowledge about their particular subjects and they help students in any problem regarding the subject matter. There's about 2-3 faculties allotted for each subject and even students can choose from which faculty they wanna study to understand much better.
