Our college is good in discipline and have good placement

The overall experience of the college is good. The infrastructure is good, it's a big campus. The college is a 60-year-old institute and has a good reputation of itself. The campus life is quite happening and the placements are also good. However, the lack of industries in the city is a negative point.

I always had a passion for computers and development of software. So I decided to pursue BTech CSE. MITS is a really reputed engineering college in my state and it happens to be in the same city where I live. So when I luckily got a seat in this college, it seemed a good option for me, since I don't have to go away from my home now.

The course curriculum is good for other branches but for CSE, it's a bit outdated, but to bridge the gap, our college hosts workshops and guests lectures to keep us in sync with the industrial technology. The faculties have their own areas of expertise and have done some good research in their respective domains.

Yes, our college has made it mandatory to do internships and it runs a program every summer for 15 days, where it offers internships in various domains under the institute faculty.

The placements are good, mostly all the students get placed of CSE Dept. Various major companies like Accenture, IBM, Infosys, TCS, Directi, Capgemini, Jamna Auto, Quikr, Samsung, OLX, etc. Have visited the campus and they do so regularly. The highest placement so far has been 12LPA, and this year it was 8LPA. The average package is however 3-3.6LPA

Each week 5-6 events are hosted by various clubs and societies of our college. Our annual fest Mitsvah is held around the starting of October every year. TEDxMITS was also organized last year in October where various speakers who are experts of there fields came together to make it an intellectualy sound and amazing event.

The college provides scholarships to meritorious students under the government schemes. The option of student loan is also present and there are ATMs in the campus itself for easy withdrawal of money. The fees are justified.

The seniors are very helpful and always guide us whenever we are stuck. The alumni network is vast and includes known faces like Dr. VK Saraswat, etc. The other alumni are also at very good positions professionally and are doing excellent in their life.

The exam structure is good, each semester 5 practical exams, 2 mid-semester exams, quiz test, and the end semester exams are held. The college is Autonomous and so the exam question papers are made in the college and the copies are also checked in the college itself.

I gave the JEE MAINS examination and scored 128 marks. I filled the MP DTE counseling and filled CSE as my first preference, in the second round, I got the seat. So when I luckily got a seat in this college, it seemed a good option for me, since I don't have to go away from my home now. I went to the institute, filled the documents and paid the fees.

The faculty of our colleges are very good. They are mostly IITians or NITians, having PhD degrees. The faculties have their own areas of expertise and have done some good research in their respective domains like computer vision, image processing, artificial intelligence, etc.
