A good college with an average infrastructure

Overall verdict is that its an average college but the only problem is the weather. There are no proper restaurants near college as well.

It offered the newly minted course of mechatronics. Since the world is slowly becoming automated, what better course than one which integrates mechanical, electronics and computers. And since there are very few colleges that offer this course and i heard from people that exam pattern is also simple and the fees is also not that high.

Mechatronics is a fairly new course. It integrates mechanical, electrical and computer subjects which are all a core branch in itself and hence hives an overall idea of all the three subjects. Practicals are conducted regularly so that both the theoretical and practical knowledge is gained by the student.

The college itself does not provide any internships but if a student wants, he or she can apply to the companies and college always approves them. Since there are no internships provided by the college, hence no stipends.

Placement scenario is slowly and steadily rising with many companies taking part in the college placements. Jobs are being offered to all the students who are eligible. Though the salary is not at the high end but being a fresher, the company does provide an excellent platform to grow.

For odd semester fees are 37500 and for the even semester, it is 47500. So a grand total of 85000 in a year which is very good. Exam fees come up to around 1000 to 1500.though if failed, the revaluation fees are quite high. They keep on taking some small amounts for extracurricular activities.

Scholarships are awarded only to sc and st students or those who have topped in Tamil Nadu state examinations.

Gender ration of boys to girls is 2:1. All sports facilities are available but they are not maintained so properly. Debates and competitions go on regularly and the college urges students to be a part of the extracurricular activities so that just studies shouldn't be boring.

Hostel provided is very good. 1 room is shared by 3 people. Beds, the wardrobe is provided. The mess is excellent as they have choices for both north Indian cuisine and south Indian cuisine. Food quality is fine. thrice a week nonveg is offered. Tea and coffee every morning and evening is provided.

As such i have bot seen any alumni network int ge college. Since the college is not that old, hence the alumni network is pretty weak.

Overall experience with the exam was very good. Ample gap is provided in between the exams and before the exam, a booklet is provided in which the question is given such that questions from that only will come. So out of 10 questions, 1 will come. Though the odds are worse still, one goes through the syllabus as well as is easily prepared for the exam.

Got to know about the college through some people. Called up the college and they invited to have a look around. Went in and saw the college and then the admission department laid out the fees and all. Paid the entire amount and took admission. The people incharge of the admissions were quite friendly but that is the case everywhere.

The faculty is a bit strict and not that friendly but as far as I have seen, if any student approaches the faculty with any problem, the faculty tries to take time out so that the student can be given a solution. The faculty is almost always regular to the college.
