- The university should provide more number of placement opportunites. The number of placement bring by the university is very less.
- In banking technology department, any placements came every students from any departments can be sit for the placements. But other departments are not allowing banking students to sit with their placements
- The department should restrict other students from the placements which banking departments brings for their students. Then only the banking departments students gets more chance to got placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's a unique course, only pondicherry University provides this "MBA BANKING Technology"course across the country. But the course is not good for the carrier because basic MBA subjects are missing in this course. There is no specialization in this course. The course should add specialization and more MBA related subjects instead of Mtech subjects.
Internships Opportunities
For our department, they only allows internships in banks. No one is allowed to do internship in IT or other companies. The role provide by the banks are different according to the banks that are alloted. We have to do different roles in the Banks. No stipend are allowed for the internships. The projects topics are also alloted from the departments. The role of Msme in the Banks is the project that I do for the internship.
Placement Experience
The campus placement are good in our department. But this year very less banks and companies came to select students. A famous bank came in the university and regect all applications of the Banking technology students. Even Banking technology students have no preferrence in the Bank jobs. The heights average pack is 13lakh PA. Only 10% of the students from the department are placed
Fees and Financial Aid
1,45,000 is the total fee for studying MBA in Pondicherry university. The university provides a scholarship for the top 15 students according to their CGPA. The university provides campus placements with a good salary package. Mostly Banks are coming for the placement in banking technology departments. Management Tranine, sales executives, loan officers etc are the job roles.
Campus Life
The university conduct Pongal festivel every year and each departments conducts every programs, cultural fest, sports etc. There is a Good library facilities and lots of book collection in the university library. The class rooms are well maintained and the technology is adopted for teaching students is outstanding. There are more number of students clubs and unions for the students social welfare and living in the university.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are actually good. The registration process are through Sam's portal provided by the university. The fess are paying through online make easy and convenient in joining hostels. But the meal quality is very bad and day buy days students are not able to adjust with the foods that are provided by the mess.
Admission
The course actually needs students that having computer backgrounds. They selected bcom students who learn computer application and betch and BCA students. The eligibility of the course is the person with a computer background and having above 55% of mark in their UG degree. The application forms, fees and dates are avilable in the university website itself. University allows reservation for the students who are backward categories, SE,ST OBC and local students who were born in Puducherry. The exams are conducted continuesly to finish fast. Students didn't get any gap between the exams. Exams are not as difficult. Every one can pass the exams. But they have to give some gap between the exams for the students to avoid continues exam stress.
