Remarks
honestly, i was very satisfied with the facilities that college provided and conclusively i want to say that this is one of the very good colleges of University of delhi. Although it is situated a bit away from the north and south campus but still it has all the sports and academic facilities that are required for the growth of students.
Entrance Preview
It is new as compared to the other colleges of Delhi University and hence the new modern infrastructure. It provides the computer science course that i wanted to pursue in my graduation. It is near to the Palam Metro and railway station and hence commutable via train.
Course Curriculum Overview
Students can also opt for Projects and research within the college. An interdisciplinary elective course is also taken in every semester to enhance one's skill.
Internships Opportunities
No, the college doesn't provide internship but it does give an option to students to opt for projects within the college for which they get a stipend as per their work enthusiasm.
Placement Experience
The college has its own placement cell apart from the central placement cell of Delhi University. But most of the students opt for higher studies as compared to a job as most of the courses are BSC courses. Though Some take part in off-campus placements and get good job opportunities.
College Events
The college has 8+ departments which celebrate their own individual's festivals annually. Apart from monthly activities, the college organizes annual festival named 'Srijan' The college also organizes an annual sports festival as well as an inter-college Cricket tournament every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
All the scholarships provided by the University of Delhi, the college individually doesn't provide any scholarships as the fees are not that expensive.
Hostel Facilities
As the college is new as compared to other colleges of Delhi university, it doesn't have hostel facilities yet. Although the college has a very good canteen in which all healthy food items for a perfect diet are available. The canteen is pure vegetarian.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has an official group on facebook with the name BCAS, it has all the members who have been part of this college. They are very helpful as they guide properly about the college life problems.
Exam Structure
The exams are conducted every semester by the university of delhi. Each semester lasts for 6 months. Almost all papers are 100 marks out of which 75 are for theory part, 25 are for internal assessment.
Admission
I applied for the Centralised form of Delhi University in May-June 2013 and all colleges released their cutoffs for admission into different courses. I got selected in the 10th cutoff for B.Tech computer science. I went to college on the same day with all of the required documents. They gave an orientation about the process for verification of documents. After verification we submitted the fee within the college because they had arranged a person related to Bank so it became quite an easy process, by the evening the admission process was complete.
