- The rooms are unclean sometimes. Specially the games room.
- Sometimes classes get canceled with a very short notice.
- The college website crashes sometimes due to heavy server load during exam fees payments.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is straight forward it's a BCOM degree, and it helps me to prepare for my upcoming CA course. It fits perfectly for the real world, helpful for accounts and financial fields. Though the course is good but there are a few scope of improvement. The number of practical classes are less, they should improve it. The exams are conducted every 6 months and difficulty is easy to moderate.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is around 5000 rs per year and it remains almost the same, every year it may increase but it still remains below 6000 rs. 15000 in general for 3 years and 1500 (approx) as exam fees. Scholarship and financial aid available but the student need to submit an application for that. Various internships are available and offered time to time.
Campus Life
Campus life is just average. There are game rooms including indoor games like carrom and table tennis, Outdoor games like cricket and badminton are played daily. Every year 3-4 times intra and inter college competitions are conducted including annual sports The library is a life saver, every required book for the course and others are available everytime and in good condition. The classroom have a pretty classic look, nothing modern.Regular competitions and annual sports are conducted. There is a social group. And they are very friendly and helpful absolutely no complaints, they will guide you every time.
Admission
The admission process was simple and smooth, first students have to check the website and register themselves and select their desired courses, then they have to wait for their name to appear on the checklist and once they are selected they will receive a message on their phone, then they have to pay the fees and wait for the day of physical document verification. Eligibility: atleast 65% in 12th boards (general) Everything like application form, application fees, and application dates were available on the official website of the college : https://umeschandracollege.ac.in/ I didn't avail myself for a reservation. Exams frequency: every 6 months approx, internal as well as external & practicals. Internal exams are easy to score and external are moderate. Suggestions in admission process: Admission process is simple and smooth, but due to server issues very few students may face difficulty, but generally the issue resolves within 24hrs.
