The best thing about this college is that the academics and the infrastructure is the best here we have qualified teacher and a very supportive staff and very hygienic but with that I feel the college is a little strict with academics and has a school like environment ( which can be good for the parents)

Shri shikshayatan- is one of the most prestigious colleges in Kolkata, and is considered to be among the best colleges for commerce. The environment that this college provide is exceptionally well and is best for girls. The infrastructure of this college and of course not to forget the reputation is what made me opt for this college without having a second thought.

The course curriculum is undoubtedly the best. The staff and the teachers are very well. They are friendly and focused and know how to nurture us and get the best out of us. The content is covered effortlessly and they never rush us into anything. Even the minute details are explained (not kidding).

Our college does provide internship and we have an entire department for placement. The placement cell of our college works well and notifies us regularly through notice board. well since I'm in first year I haven't had such experience yet.

It is known that the placement and job opportunities is considerably well in my college. We have companies like Wipro, ICICI, IBM regularly visiting us and provide job opportunities to the outstanding talent. More than 70% student get a job after graduation with average package of 3.5 lacs.

There are lot of event conducted but the biggest is our college fest srijan which is one of the biggest fest in Kolkata with different colleges coming together and showcasing their talents with that there's annual sports day, foundation day, regular debate completion, being held in our college.

The fee structure that is 44400 every year for three year for b.com, 32.2k/year for B.A which is quite expensive compared to other college and not everybody could afford to study but looking at the infrastructure and the quality of education Its worth the money.

There are scholarships available and the college do provide help and scholarship to talented student. The student has to contact the office for it.

The college life is good and since we have a beautiful campus it can never be boring but I feel the college is very strict with its acadameics hence students are more focused but undoubtedly we have a good time in college with that regular completions like debate, sports are held by different departments so it's easy to enjoy and keep our selves involve.

Our college doesn't provide hostel facilities but there are various P.G options available near our college which can be choosen by the student. the canteen serves good and hygienic food and there are wide variety available,we even have CCD serving us.

The alumni of our college is very strong. And we are blessed with very cooperative and helpful seniors.

The exam structure is as per the Calcutta university. The college as of now has conducted internal assessment exams twice in a year for b.com course.The exams conducted by our college is without any loopholes and considerably difficult but the college is really kind with its students and grades us fairly.

I applied for my particular course directly through the college website where I filled the admission form and paid fees of RS. 950, the next day I got a message that I was merit listed and should come with the necessary documents like attested copies of marksheet (both 10th and 12th) marksheeties,income certificate,etc. Then after filling up the admission form and paying 44400 as admission fees my marksheet was stamped and I was admitted with that I was given a prospectus which had all the details about my college and was very appealing as well.

The college faculty is the best in kolkata.
