Remarks

BPIT is a college that gives you a good life after college but college life in it is below average. Besides crowd and location, they have nothing which can make your college a memorable part. They are most dedicated in creating a good placement records.

Entrance Preview

BPIT College Is situated in Rohini Sec 16 which can be reached very easily either via Red Line Delhi Metro at Rithala station. This line is very near from my residence. So it's location is a privilege. Moreover, it's surrounded by one of the best colleges in Delhi namely DTU, SHAHEED SUKHDEV, VIPS, MAHARAJA AGRASEN(not very close). This college is quite better than most of the college of IPU. In terms of crowd, location, faculty it's quite good college. It has a huge ground which is hub of various sports, library also is also a central spot for students. However, it's main building is very small that you would find it as a school for first impressions, the food in canteen is filth and you would prefer street food which is really cheap and very good in taste. Talking about extra-curricular activities its technical societies are very good. They conduct seminars from time to time and gives you a clear idea as what to prefer for your career.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I recently did my 1st year and from this I can say that course curriculum is concentrated towards theory rather than practical. We have subjects which have no relation with the stream we opted that is IT. We have Manufacturing Process which is a very out of the stream subject which is a Mechanical engineering subject. Then we have Workshop as practical subject which play same role as Manufacturing process in theory. We have do carpentering which I do not think a software engineer would do. However, for other subjects curriculum is fine, it gives you basic even for student who had non computer subjects in school.

Internships Opportunities

Yes college provides internship in various companies. They give you internship in good places which even pay you a bit. Companies like Jio, Amazon etc. also give internship from BPIT.

Placement Experience

4

BPIT was opened in 2005. Since then it has created a lot of job opportunities for students who have developed enough skill set or even have scored a good percentage in college exams. Students with skill set even have secured very good jobs from MNCs. Like in 2016, 1 student got placed for 12lpa in amazon. That's a good number for a mediocre college. So if you have talent and skill set you can secure a good job in BPIT

College Events

4

BPIT had numerous activities like Corona, fresher's party, technical fests etc. It's main event is Corona which happens once in an year. In this various societies in BPIT take part to do some activities like organizing competitions. A not so popular celebrity comes and makes us fool for sometime. So it's good but less sponsored.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees in BPIT is very affordable considering B.Tech is an expensive course. In 1st year my fees was 11600 out of which 12000 was university, 5000 was book bank which is refundable after 4 years. Then after first year the fees reduces from 1st year. Its fee is cheaper than other colleges in IPU.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes bpit provides loan via Indian Bank and scholarship are provided by IPU for EWS. For that, you need to at least score 85% in 12th and should have enough low income to gain this privilege.

Campus Life

1.5

Campus in bpit is like school a single building administors everything in bpit. Except canteen is in different building. You will find majorly Delhi students or students from neighbouring areas from Delhi. So it's not that much diversified. Regarding gender ratio, my IT section has total strength of 62 students, out of which 10 are girls. So male strength is predominant. Regarding extracurricular activities, various societies like IEEE,CSI provides seminars from time to time.

Hostel Facilities

1

There is no facility like hostel for boys and for girls as per their experience it is nothing but shit and they charge a great amount for it which not at all is acceptable. Students have to empty their pockets in order to dwell near college in form of PG's. They charge a skyrocketing amount and not even provide enough facilites. They charge huge amount for ACs. There is nothing to talk about mess food. Its just waste of single penny offering. It is so distasteful and most probably unhygienic that I think that one should remain hungry despite of eating such miserable food.

Alumni/Alumna

I found that seniors in technical societies are very talented in computer field and they have answers to almost any questions asked. Plus, they are very supportive and always advice juniors. So, it's necessary to maintain coordination with them.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is quite lenient in BPIT. You have 100 marks theory paper in each semester which comprises of 2 parts, End term exam of 75 marks and internals for 25 marks. Internals which comprises of 25 marks in which 15 marks are from sessionals which happens once in 1 semester of 30 marks and gets halved creating marks out of 15 and 10 marks are in the hands of teacher which are given based on performance in class. Then comes practicals which also have 100 marks exam in which 40 marks are for internal practicals which includes performance during practical classes, files, and internal mock practical exam whereas 60 marks are for external practical in which examiner comes from outside to give marks based upon Viva and practicals performed.

Admission

I secured 6698 rank in IPU CET for which I was given NIEC CSE in online rounds but I decided to go for spot Counselling where I had choices in BVP ECE(2nd Shift), MSIT ECE(2nd shift), MAIT MAE,EEE(2nd Shift) and other colleges below this. But I had positive reviews for BPIT and I was getting BPIT IT. So, I opted for it.

Faculty

2

Faculty in BPIT is like that in every other school. They first will pressurize you to focus on their subjects, being regular, completing assignments, attending tests and filthy projects and if don't do so you would get nothing in internals which comprises of 25 marks in which 15 marks are from sessionals which happens once in 1 semester of 30 marks and gets halved creating marks out of 15 and 10 marks are in the hands of teacher which are given based on performance in class.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
