- I like the placement ratio and ROI of the college as well as the fest and the other events including sports.
- Some teachers are very good and I like them pretty much, they are highly experienced and have good teaching methods..
- The campus of the college is quite big near 650 acre, with a lot of greenery.
Dislikes
- I disliked the hostel facility, if you are a day scholar then its good for you
- The mess facility is bad if you can't handle oily food.
- Teaching staff generally the rookies are very bad literally hate them.
Course Curriculum Overview
Till now, from what I have experienced, the relevance of course is much better in my branch, mechanical engineering has highest intake in MANIT Bhopal. Moreover I am in first year, so I am not familiar with more activities, but the things I have been performing in first year, like workshop practice makes me understand the curriculum of the next year studies. While teaching methods are not good and i despise them sometimes, they need to improve themselves by the way of teaching.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are very good in my branch as well as in my college, people get intern if they have completed a good project and maintaining a good cpga, as i first year, I don't know much but this was heard by me from my seniors.
Placement Experience
The campus placements for my branch are higher than 90%, and overall placement of College are more than 80%, the internship opportunities are also quite good. The maximum package offered in our college was 84lpa and i also got to know that one of my senior got a internship in Amazon for 1.2 lac per month. That is quite good and there is spike in the average package every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
As a OBC candidate with income less than1 lakh, my tution fees is 0, the fees i need to pay is just hostel, mess and semester fees. Hostel fees is 15000 for 1 semester and mess fees is 25000 for the whole year. And semester fees is 8k per semester. Although I have applied for scholarship like NSP, MMVY and some different private scholarship also, so need not worry about any financial problems.
Campus Life
First years were not allowed in the 1st semester to go into the sports complex, but now in 2nd semester the condition is good. There are different sports tournament organised by the sports committee and i personally participated in chess and came 2nd. Meanwhile there are frequent fest and events for the students in which everyone can participate. I like it very much.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is near to bad, sometimes there is no water in the bathroom, but there are no electricity cutoff. Even wifi sometimes stops working and there is less speed due to more connections, there are 3 students in 1 room but that room is meant for 2 person, i Personally hate this. Talking about mess, the quality of the food is quite good from the second semester and I love it for now, there is daily salad, we get foodm4 times, breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Everything is good but not worth 25k.
Admission
My course is mechanical engineering in MANIT Bhopal, I took admission by giving the JEE examination, got 96.12 percentile in it. You can register for JEE from the official site of National Testing Agency, and I was a obc candidate so I got reservation, if someone is from SC or ST, they will get more reservation, the entrance exam isnt that tough if u have a good preparation. The admission process is quite simple as you get seat allotment on the basis of your all India rank, then you come to the college and complete the offline process of submitting documents.
