General gist of the department of geography of Central University of karnataka

The main reason I took is the integrated msc degree of applied geography and geoinformatics. Geoinformatics is a growing field which will allow the people gain knowledge on preparing digital maps and remote sensing as well

There is requirment to do internship/ dissertation in the last semester in msc which we need to apply in different institutions or company to gain knowledge of the field you are interested in and viva and presentation will be there at the end of the semester along with submission of the report

The fee structure is sem basis and for even sem around 7000 more or less as it could change. Scholarships are available to certain category, and if came first in the degree you might get certain amount and as for the placement there are no for my course.

The campus life is really good though the food is some what just ok not great not too bad. There are certain rules for girls hostel when it comes to timing it's 9:30 pm it will close. The infrastructure is very good with wifi availablity 24/7 though there are times when it won't be available sa well

There are wifi availablity 24 7 and the rooms in the main hostel is good with rooms of 2 sharing and 4 sharing. But now it's mostly given to PhD people and hostels with 5 or 6 sharing is available and a new hostel is upcoming. They are. Providing mess but students will take time to get used to the some of the food

So there is an entrance exam previously known as cucet. Now the name has changed to CUET so the cutt off I'm not sure off right now. Once your eligibile after the exam you'll get one email to start the process and after coming to the University a seperate application form is needed to be filled. Then if some is getting on in the 3rd call as there will be 1st and 2nd call for merit and a 3rd one if seats are remaining. Then after going to university the application is filled and based on first come first serve seat will be provided
