Everything you need to know about KMIT

I wanted to study computer science engineering so that was the reason I selected this course as we know KMIT is an autonomous college and has very good reviews about studies and that too specifically in computer science courses I selected KMIT. The course curriculum is not bad, can say it's good as we don't have too many subjects or labs at a time. Coming to faculty, teaching is good. The management forces the lecturers to use PPT slides but doesn't care about the projector or class infrastructure. I think they should concentrate a bit more on the class infrastructure

Many companies visit KMIT and provide internships to students such as adobe,Experian,open text,sales force etc. They also provide special coaching for the students who didn't get placed through campus placements and even if they don't get placed college itself provides employment as they have setup an incubation centre in NGIT which also comes under KMIT's management

KMIT is known for its placements, students here start getting placed from sixth semester . There are many companies which visit KMIT for recruiting students such as adobe, sales force, Experian, open text etc and the average package here is around ten lakhs per annum , the highest package is 48 lakhs per annum. More than 90% of students gets placed in campus placements and the remaining are offered with special coaching for placements. My plan after getting the degree is I don't plan to study any further if I get placed good.

Coming to the fee structure my fee that is for CSE it is one lakh eleven thousand. There are four courses in this college which are CSE,IT, AIML, CSD and the fees is almost similar for all these four branches may be five thousand more or less. So for four years the fees would be around 4-4.5 lakhs which I think that most of the top colleges in EAMCET have a similar amount. This college also provides financial support in the form of scholarships for minority caste students by checking their family income. Coming to campus employment they recently set up an incubation center in NGIT ( which comes under KMIT's management ) to provide placements with a decent package for the students who are not placed, which I think no EAMCET college does this.

KMIT has three fests every year which are NAVRAAS in which the whole campus is decorated beautifully and the event consists of few performances and DJ night which is held on any of the 9 days of Navratri generally done before Dussehra vacation and next is PATANG UTSAV this event is conducted before Sankranthi vacation, this even is also as good as NAVRAAS with performances,kite flying,DJ etc and the last one which is known to be the best festival of KMIT is KMIT EVENING which is also my personal favourite as all the clubs work together for this and they even arrange food stalls and many more. Coming to the library in KMIT we have a library called GRANTHALAY which has a wide range of books with good count which covers more than what we need. Classroom infrastructure is not good it needs to improved such as the projector and board. This college provides a vast number of opportunities in studies clubs but not in games as the campus is very small (3 acres)

To get a seat in this college (KMIT) we need to take the EAMCET exam . The cutoff usually ranges from 5-10k for general category . My rank was 23k so as I was from general category I was sure that i could not get a seat so we went for management seat. The reason I opted this college is , that even my sister studied here and she got placed well along with her friend. Not only her I know few people who had very good reviews on this college, so that was the reason for me to select this college. Regarding the application form and process of application is not complicated if you visit the college once the management will assist you. For people who are looking for a management seat as me you need to have a good percentile in JEE or good percentage in your 12 board exams as they ask for it
