JIIT : A boon or bane.

College management works 24x7 to provide us with all the amenities. It’s a good private college. But yet not better than VIT, Vellore and Manipal, Karnataka.

This is a very cool thing about our college. Through the network portal, we have this common folder called STUDY MATERIAL (SM). Their teachers upload all the ebooks, presentations, papers, etc. and by connecting to the college wifi, students get the access to ‘fileserver’, our study material.

No, our college is only concerned with the jobs and not the internship. Though an internship is necessary but not provided by the college specifically.

Top students get to hit their dream company. The company hires smart students and not the 9 pointers. CS and IT. Students gets a placement easily. While Biotech and EC Suffer to even make it through the eligibility criteria. While most of the MTech students get placed. There is hardly any scope for Biotechnology Btech students to even sit in the interviews

Events celebrated: 1) technical fest: cybersrishti, includes technical games and students displaying their projects. 2) culture fest: Impressions. Includes the fun games like the treasure hunt and all. Also, every hub presents a show, like fashion show by Radiance. 3) Crescendo: music hub presents a show on a particular day, in which all the club members perform. 4) Freshers: this is specifically for the incoming first years and to showcase their talents.

I haven’t availed any. But I’ve heard they give compensations to the employees’ children. Their fee structure is completely different and affordable.

Mess food is generally a nightmare to all other aouth colleges, comparatively our mess food is way better. Breakfast is amazing and the most delicious meal of the day. In lunch, we’re lucky to get kadi. Rajma, etc. when they try out something new like noodles, etc.

Alumni keep visiting our college and teachers introduce them to us. They sometimes come to recruit us and also to offer internships.

It’s a continuous evaluation system. After every 1-1.5 month, you have exams. In a semester you have to give 3 main exams( T1, T2, and T3) They all in total carry 75% of weightage, other 25% weightage comes from the internals that includes class discipline, assignments. Class tests, etc.

I got the admission through merit bases. Firstly I had to fill the online form that costed me around 1500 rs. then I paid a visit to the university with all the documents required and application form. They posted a merit list online of all the selected students and fortunately, I was one of them.

Lecture delivery is the first and foremost thing to be assessed. Their presentation and the way they convey the topic to the students. A good teacher is the one which takes cares of the class as a whole and not just a few students. If the average of the class is high or most of the students are clear with the topics, then the teacher scores well.
