- The aura of the place. You could just sit in the lawn with your friends and see the sun go down .
- Everytime theres a function people will be fully involved and live the moment
- The strikes that were supposed to be serious but i saw it as fun
Dislikes
- Lovers making some places their personal territory
- The gate system. It took so much of our time when we had to go outside circling half the university which could have saved us some time if the kept opened the front gate
- The central garden of the university is one of the peaceful place to chill and sit. But they wont allow you to do that after 5:30 ...that annoyed me
Course Curriculum Overview
Well I was interested in it and the history of the university is connected to the British colonial rule that helped establish the language ,so it was an easy choice to take the course in my state. Everything has its own benefits...depends how well the lectures carry the academic pursuits. In our time it was 50-50. Need better classes and benches. They are very old. A better scheduled time table.
Fees and Financial Aid
You can apply for scholarships, it is definitely beneficial. The cost of the entire education including compulsory fees are acceptable and fair. Some of the courses actually helps you gain placements while good grades makes a way towards better university choices.
Campus Life
There's always a function represented by different hostels or different stream of students. The socializing part is easy to do. Food fest, annual functions, literature meets, annual sports, centenary functions, dj nights etc. Required technology and facilities are provided to students. Alot of clubs, groups are created online specifically which allows every student to participate in the extra curriculum activities and informs a large number of people in less time. It also helps to bind the students of different courses together.
Hostel Facilities
It varies. Different hostels have different accommodations. Some hostels has ten students per room, some has 4, some has 3 and some has 6. One of the girls hostels has canteen inside the hostel that helps access to other choices of food if someone skips the mess meal. Menu is good but the food is not. Sometimes everything tastes the same. They even don't try to improve it when the complains are placed.. The fees are affordable and duration of paying the fees is flexible.
Admission
As the colleges were following covid protocols they asked us to speed post all the valid documents. But it was safe and the documents were verified properly. We were asked to physically collect our documents in the university. The experience was smooth. The official website has everything available. Have to check time to time. Reservations are there but you still have to work hard to have its benefits. Well timings for the exams are properly set but sometimes they take alot of time to complete the syllabus.
