Course Curriculum Overview
The college follows Outcome Based Education, where students in 1st year are divided into clusters based on their department and they are made to study Maths, Physics and Chemistry topics relevant to the course they chose. RVCE prepares their students for bringing out solutions from real world problems by adding project based learning to their curriculum. There are 3 internal exams and one final exam per semester. Out of 3 internal exams, best of two internal exam marks will be taken into consideration. The exam difficulty is moderate considering the fact that notes are provided for almost every subject.
Internships Opportunities
RVCE has tied up with many companies for internship and placement opportunities like Mercedes Benz, Cisco, Volvo, Toyota, and much more. These companies call students from second year to do internship in their companies. It's mostly software based internship but even Mechanical engineering students are called in Mercedes Benz for engine development
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. Many companies have visited RVCE like Cisco, Accenture, Bosch, Rexroth, Rakuten, and many more.... The average package of 2023 batch is overall 10LPA. More than 90% of students got placed from 2023 branch. My plans after getting a degree is to work at Intel.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you come through management, the fees won't be hiked year-on-year and they quote the fees which they mention during the admission of the particular year. For, CET and COMEDK too, the fees payable won't increase or decrease. For CET students the Fees is approximately 1 Lakh per year For COMEDK students, it's 2.5 Lakh to 3 Lakh per year For Management students, it depends on the branch you choose Example:For CSE - 10 Lakh/year And hostel costs around 1.5 Lakh/year We can avail scholarships in government portals like NSP and SSP Karnataka, the amount is not yet known.

Hostel Facilities
There are four hostel blocks for boys and two for girls. Boys hostels -Krishna -Cauvery -Chamundi -Sir M Vishwesvaraiah Hostel Girls hostels -Krishna Garden Hostel (Outside Campus) - Diamond Jubilee Girls hostel The hostel rooms are maintained neat and clean. I am in Cauvery Hostel, which is a two sharing hostel. We get a table, chair, cot and a cupboard per person readily kept in the room. Even curtains for windows are provided. The bathrooms and sanitation places are cleaned once in every three days for the hygiene of the students. The meals provided in the mess is good. There is a breakfast hour, a lunch hour, snacks hour and dinner hour. Breakfast and snacks are good but lunch and dinner doesn't suit all students. For joining the hostel, we should talk to the hostel authorities in hostel office, pay the fees in DD mode and fill the hostel application form and choose our room from the empty rooms available, which is told by the room alloter.
Admission
RVCE has three modes of admission -Management -COMEDK -KCET I joined through the college through CET. The criteria to join the college is to obtain minimum 75% in 10th overall and 75% in 12th PCM aggregate. To join through CET, we should apply for the exam in the website kea.kar.nic.in and give the exam which would happen around April last week/May 1st week every year. The fees for application is Rs.500 and it's only for students who come under the Karnataka domicile (i.e. to be studied in Karnataka for a minimum of seven years). The KCET exam is easier than JEE, but students are prone to make silly mistakes. The exam generates the rank based on the student's board exam marks and CET performance.
