Remarks
Until I was there in college, it was good. Only one problem the college faced at that time was - the Principal got changed nearly 3 times in my 4 years completion of course. Good college with good courses & now placements are also there, so who wants to study staying near from home - can prefer.
Entrance Preview
It was near my hometown & not too far from my home. Approx 30Kms from my home. And I preferred to join in management quota due to some personal & financial reason at that time. It was under Christian minority & was coming under the diocese of Tuticorin(hometown)-Nazareth(College).
Course Curriculum Overview
To be frank, I was not interested in the course I was admitted (B.E - ECE). I was interested in some other courses but that was not in this college. It was my parent's decision but anyway it's a good course if you are really interested in electronics + communication & want to enter into that specific CORE field. Because I am a graduate of ECE but I am into IT filed now, not into ECE CORE field. So, choose wisely & parents please hear your children's words too.
Placement Experience
As I was the 3rd batch of the college, at that time we don't have direct placements coming to the college campus but we went to other colleges to attend it. It was a bit difficult at that time but I take pride in telling that from my batch two girls got selected.
College Events
When I was pursuing, we have done many activities. 1. Conducted state level "Symposium" in our college. 2. College day 3. Sports day 4. Hostel day 5. Cultural day 6. Farewell day 7. Graduation day 8. Inter-college competition etc. Right now, I don't have an idea what exactly they are celebrating?
Fee Structure And Facilities
It was feasible when I was studying. If I remember & if it's correct, I think it should be 40, 000/year. Hostel separate & I think even that was fair only. Mess food - expenditure was "dividing system". Right now, I don't know how much is the fee structure, may get change as per the norms of ANNA University.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't have any idea about it. But students used to take an educational loan but from which bank or which one was good, I don't have any idea.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is as per the department. For ex. in ECE/CSE - we used to have moreover equal ratio where for Mech. girls will be very less. Inter-department cultural competition used to happen, etc. College president election used to happen. Maximum Christians used to join more as its a diocese college.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in the hostel only for 1.5 years then I was traveling daily & as said earlier fee structure was normal, I didn't exactly now - how much we used to pay. But for the mess, it was dividing system & it ranges from 800 to 1100 per month. In each room 3 to 4 persons used to stay. Wash rooms were normal at that time, may be changed now. Right now, I don't know how much is the fee structure, may got change as per the norms of the college.
Alumni/Alumna
We used to have college alumnus but unfortunately, I was not able to attend until now but in FB & Whatsapp group I have seen the photos where I can say, everyone enjoys a lot & recalls the old memories. I will try to attend this year.
Exam Structure
As the college is affiliated to ANNA university, the syllabus was as per the ANNA University. For each semester we used to have 2 to 3 internal exams & lab classes will be there for twice in a week. Labs, I used to enjoy a lot as learning practically makes a lot of understanding which includes fun also.
Admission
First in my home, they thought to go as per the entrance results & process. Then due to some personal & financial reasons they decided to make me join in this institute under "management quota" which was easy for them as it comes under the diocese of Tuticorin(hometown)-Nazareth(College).
Faculty
Now the faculty should be good because now the rule is there that only M.E/M.Tech candidates are eligible for Lecturer/Professor jobs. When I studied even we had newly passed out B.E staffs but I can't even tell a single word negative against them because maximum all the staffs were good & they used to take the notes before coming to classes & complete the syllabus in time.
