Entrance Preview
I am an executive working in ONGC. MSU offers evening MBA course for experienced persons. Entrance is normally through GMAT. But in my year there was an additional format of selection. Based on Graduation and plus 12 marks I was selected in this MBA programme. I was selected as topmost student based on my previous marks.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is a 3 year evening MBA course. Up to 2nd year 1st semester the course covered the general MBA topics like business communication, economics, mathematics, financial accounting, managerial accounting etc. From 2nd year 2nd semester two divisions was created for specialization- marketing and finance. I opted for finance and there topics like project management, Indian financial system, portfolio management, managerial process control etc are covered. Last semester will be project based.
Internships Opportunities
Since it is an MBA course for experienced there is no internship as such. Stipend is not also applicable here. We have to add some value for my company at the end of my course.
Placement Experience
Job opportunity is good. Firstly, people can grow in the existing company itself. They get a chance to opt for managerial departments. Also good companies like cocacola, ABB, siemens come for campus interview.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Rs. 65000 per annum. It is not expensive considering the value addition of this course. Again since all the persons are salaried this fee does not pose any problem.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since my course doesn't offer any scholarship I don not have idea of ongoing scholarship for ongoing courses. But education loan facility is available from any bank for this course.
Exam Structure
Semester exams are written. Normally questions are subjective. Each subject also has a practical part carrying 30% weight age where presentation/ practical workshop has to be made.
