Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is a bit strict. specifically this year it was made more strict. I hadn't had any basic idea about course curriculum of the college at beginning . choice filling in counselling was done based on previous year cutoffs. but, since artificial intelligence is a new course, i estimated the cutoff to be between cutoffs for cse and ece . during the course of the curriculum, it prepares us to face the real world. the courses taught to us can be applied and related to real life. theres only one query that the lecturer had, if they had used a mic/audio amplifier the lectures would reach students up to the full efforts of the lecturer. the timetable for us is too good , it was made considering the stress factor of students. One doesn't feel any burden with the timetable ( for our department, may vary for other departments) as we have only 4-5 classes for a day.

Internships Opportunities

4

internships are available from third year ,they're paid internships from startups and mnc's as well , where it can turn in ppo if performed good enough. all companies mentioned lately visit for placements

Placement Experience

4

coming to placements, students can get their paid internships from third year itself , which if interested they get the preplacement offer too, plus point is that 95% of students ( in cs dept) get placed . companies like microsoft, delloite, jp morgan, oracle, accenture and other prominent mnc's visit for placements , and mentioned above 95% of students get placed. highest package as per last year stats is around 44-45l per annum and average package is around 18-20l per annum . i would like to pursue my masters in artificial intelligence.

Fees and Financial Aid

As our's is a government college, there wouldnt be much of a burder for fees. fee structure is quite good. it would be around 60-70k per semester (only course fees) mees and hostel would be an extra 30k an year which makes the total fees around 1l per semester. so coming to the scholarship section, scholarships are provided based on category, annual income of family, special scholarships are provided for students whose parents work in army and many more.....further details are availabe on govt nsp portal regarding scholarships . as im a student from first year, i wouldnt find any campus employment as of now and i guess theres no stipends awarded as of now.

Campus Life

4.5

talking about fests and events, our clg can be considered a good fit in this criteria. every year there's a technical event named 'mindbend' which included all the technical works of computer science, electronics and mechanical engineering , which aids in development of technical skills and experience within their respective courses. sparsh is a cultural fest held in our college . coming to the library of our college, it can be considered as a crown jewel of our college, it is rated as best libraries among all Nit's in India . there classrooms are provided with projectoors for better pictorial representations for students and they're quite good. coming to sports facilities there's sac ground where every sport can be played and theres an indooor gym which aids students in their self improvement. coming to clubs and social groups, there's a hell lot of clubs in here where we can actually learn a lot.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

frankly speaking, at starting you'll face some difficulty for adjustment but you'll cope up with it. there won't be much of an issue for it. coming to the meal taste, speaking frankly it is'nt much great for first yearites . and a huge con is that there's no non-veg provided in hostel.registration process for hostel is done at the time of course registration

Admission

As I am nit a student admission process goes with Jossa and csab. I got admission through jossa. I got a 11093 rank no reservation general category as we know jee main is a tough exam we have to qualify for the exam and apply for counselling. the cutoff for the general category was around 14k, which can be considered a good cutoff for the general category. so that is it.

There is no major problem in the curriculum regarding to the course. The curriculum covers almost all major real-world applications. But, the there is so much detailed and compulsive study on techniques that are not even used in today's time.

Our courses are not as relevant to the current job scenario. But teachers are amazing, so they keep motivating us to learn something new all the time. My experience is that our curriculum is not that relevant to the current job scenario.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.
