- First of all, I like the teaching method of the faculties. They are the bank of knowledge. They not only give us the book oriented knowledge, they also provide the further assistance in our future and life.
- Facilities are excellent. Like Wi-Fi, smartboard with system. One from every corner of the class can easily listen the things taught by the teacher.
- Campus life is top notch. The campus is safe and beautiful.
Dislikes
- I dislike the evaluation process especially in the internal where we don't know how much we get the number.
- Sometimes there is hygienic issue in the campus due to the uncleaned dustbin.
- Distance of the department is far from the main road. That's why one have to walk 700-1000 metres to reach the department.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of this course is good. This course prepare the foundation for the students who are striving to appear for the competitive exams such as UGC-NET, Civil services and Banking where English is compulsory. The faculties are great and humble. Their teaching methods are unique. More or less they will develop ones communication skills both verbal and writing. The final exams are conducted in every six month and there are also internals throughout the semester. The difficulty level is moderate. If one solely follow the lectures, he/she can easily earn the good marks. I think the evaluation process should be improved where there is lack of transparency especially in internal how our papers are checked by the teachers as we directly get the aggregate number only.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is good. We have to pay only 7300 in a year. The fees are rarely hikes. Because I'm paying the same fees which I heard from my senior's in 2019-20. This fees include the Wi-Fi fees, library access fees etc. There are many scholarship facilities by government and non government like Ishan Uday, NEC scholarship etc. I'm getting the Ishan Uday scholarship amount of 54000 per year. There is no employment or internship opportunity in the campus from this particular course.
Campus Life
There are too many events throughout the year such as Fresher's during September, Farewell during June or July and Saraswati Puja during January or February. There are also many conferences and workshops throughout the course. One special thing is departmental trip. In University, we have one central library and departmental library in each department. The classrooms have smartboards with good sound system. The benches are good. In University, there are two playgrounds where one can play cricket, football, volleyball etc. There is also a sport board for the students. There are many clubs like drama club, poetry club etc. The atmosphere of the campus is good. The campus has a lake where one can listen the smoothing chirping of the birds.
Admission
The students have to appear for common University entrance test to get the addmission in Tripura University. One with 50% marks in graduation can appear for the entrance. The exam level is moderate. If one have the good knowledge of graduation honours subject eg. for me it was English, then he/she can easily crack the exam. I think there is rarely any area to improve in the admission process because the level is good. The cut off in the previous year was 80-90 in this University.
