Likes

Infrastructure of the campus is very serene.
Lots of facilities like gym, library, salon, canteen, etc.
Diversity and Inclusivity among students.

Dislikes

Lot of faculties teach for a temporary time.
Food can be much better in terms of quality.
Hostels are very crowded. More 2 & 3 sharing rooms should be implemented.

Course Curriculum Overview

MBA in SIBM Nagpur is definitely well equipped with current market conditions. They have 5 specializations, each having experienced faculties. The college often organizes guest lectures and teaches with relevant case studies. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics.

Internships Opportunities

There are abundant companies for marketing specialization, which are mostly into sales. I got into Careers360 with a stipend of 15k per month. Most companies offer work from home, but mine is Gurgaon-based. Even students of other specializations are offered sales work, which many don't find ideal.

Placement Experience

Campus Placements are fine. For marketing, there are abundant companies. However, there aren't many companies for finance specialization. I would definitely love to get into a company with a good brand name.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees including academics, hostel, mess is around 22 lakhs. There are numerous banks that provide loans for students, especially HDFC. HDFC and Symbiosis have both partnered up for providing loans to the students.

Campus Life

There are lots of committees and special interest groups. Being in one of those will definitely keep you busy. There is gym, sports ground, libraries, labs, auditoriums for a whole holistic development. Events and fests keep happening now and then.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is mostly 4 sharing. It might seem like a lot of people in one room, but the facilities are good. However, the building is new and very aesthetically pleasing, the view and food is fine as well.

Admission

I got admission though SNAP exam, and GE-PI process for getting into SIBM Nagpur. Everything was smooth except the Group Exercise process. The moderators didn't even give time to brainstorm about the topic. The process was very loud and under less moderation. Reservations definity helped me clear the cutoff.

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.

Life at SIBM NAGPUR

SNAP test is mandatory for any Symbiosis college. VAT, GDPI sessions are taken during admission process. 60 percentile is the cut off for SIBM Nagpur. SNAP test is conducted thrice a year. MY EXPERIENCE AT SIMB NAGPUR

Admission process at my college was very easy and was not weary as admission processes are assumed to be. The Eligibility criteria was as follows: Graduation from any recognised University with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and 45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes. A graduate from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU). One has to fill the application form for the course they want to opt for and then register for SNAP, Symbiosis National AptitudeTest. The application fee for SNAP is Rs 1,750 for all programmes. Candidates can pay the application fee online as well as offline. Admission to MBA programme is based on SNAP scores.
