Course Curriculum Overview
Generally doing the course of BA B.Ed separately takes upto 5 years but the Integrated BA B.Ed takes upto 4 years. It is time beneficial. The curriculum provides a internship program of 2 months at the end of the 4 year course, which provides us the experience of real-world classroom environment lead by a teacher. Other than the intership program there are also other practical activities that trains the pupil teacher to the core for betterment in Teacher Education program. This course needs improvement in the technological aspect as it is very important in this generation. The mid-semester exam's timing is for 1 hours for 15-20 marks & the semester exam's timing is for 3 hours 60-80 marks.
Internships Opportunities
The Intership is held at schools run by state government and private schools during the last two months of the course. There are no such things like stipend in this Intership. The students are supposed to go to school with their money. And with the Intership we have to maintain a lesson plan register where we write down the plan for the lesson delivery of one class. And with this some practical works are done like Micro Teaching, storytelling, ICT, painting, singing, videography, dancing, rangoli etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
It was 42700 for the admission fee and the next one was 39000 for the Corona time. But the next two payments were higher by 1000-3000 rupees. But if I talk about my juniors their fees are inarguably very high as it is 50000. The tuition fees are like 4000-5000 but no particular tuition is given. The total fees for 4 years is 2 lakhs. There are not many scholarships for this self-financing course but there is scholarship regarding matriculation for the SC/STs. There are no such this like campus employment, roles and responsibilities.
Campus Life
The annual function is held around the month of March. And some food festivals and workshops are held around November and December. There are variety of books in the library but the accessibility is low as the Library staff do not allow the students to roam freely for searching for a book instead they ask you to give them the name of the book and they would search for it. The technological facilities is solely the projector inside the classroom & for practical there are some computers provided. The sports area is very much well developed, recently the University hosted the east-zone cricket tournament. And the annual sports meet is also taken very seriously and the Prizes are very good. There are not much like clubs but there are some students activist groups like ABVP.
Admission
In this course of Integrated B.A B.Ed combined percentage of 10th and 12th Boards are taken into consideration. My total marks was 173.6 and I got selected during the second selection process of Arts. I got selected in History as my honours. Application form was filled in the GMU site and no reservations were availed for me. The course fees is getting higher and higher with a little improvement in the academic area
