The college management was good. Each year the examinations were conducted on the date which were announced on the first day of semester start. Management also negotiated the strikes well. Over all well managed timely actions by management.

State govt. 12thb standard higher secondary board examination at state level. The admission procedure is based on the merit marks of Maths, Physics, chemistry theory marks 60% weightage and 40% from multiple choice type examination conducted at state level.

The course contained of 7 subjects each semester and a total of 8 semesters . Applied mechanics, structural engineering, soil engineering, transport engineering, building construction environmental engineering were covered to paper-1,2,3,4 as per syllabus. the electives were offered for Structural design, irrigation ,management etc.

In 1980-84 the internship system for civil engineer was not in practice. However filed visits for actual experiences were arranged. So building construction activities rcc buildings were frequently visited at different stages of constructions.

Excellent. The national level companies used to have campus interviews for final yea students having good academic records. For civil engineers, The local companies also conducted campus interviews.

Every year, annual talent programme, cultral fest, technical quiz etc. were organised also the blood donation camps and health check up camps were organised. During hazards in the city of Surat, the NSS and NCC teams of college helped lot of people and social services were given.

Fees structure was feasible, Although tuff for parents from medium income group with hostel accommodation and frequent transportation expenses to home every 2/3 months. however fees were not too expensive.

Scholarship was offered on merit basis. However book bank facility available to most of the students. The loans were not provided from the college.

All the students shared rooms, different state students sharing all kind of religions and customs. No restriction , no banns. each hostels used to arrange welcome party after a month long ragging of new-comers also sports completion were arranged between the hostels. Which included kabbadi, cricket, football badminton, tennis etc.

The hostel facilities were excellent. Almost all rooms getting good sunlight and winds and bathrooms cleaned daily. each having mess and TT room , carom etc. also TV available.

Alumni of 1984 batch already met twice after formation, in last 3 years. Facebook group having more than 100 members enjoying each other family photos functions every day.

The exams were conducted by college internal exams at end of 2 months and 4 months while external exams at end of semester. The students have to used to with semester system and go on clearing the exams.

The faculties were 50 % local (Gujarat state ) and 50 % from out state i.e. other states. The faculties were excellent and session were arranged for tutorials and practices. I enjoyed each day though tough subjects but faculties helped in person too.
