Life at NMIMS Hyderabad

The course designed is pretty amazing you get to have an open view of all the subjects of all the domain ( marketing, finance, HR). They can do better when it comes to the practical approach of the curriculum. Teaching methods are amazing for some faculty and some are below average. The internal assessment system is quite thought provoking and rigorous but helps you get prepared for the corporate life. Coming to exams, trimester system is followed and every 1.5 months we have mid terms followed by end terms, in the 1st year. From 2nd year , after the end of 3 months there were end terms only.

After the 4th trimester the students become eligible for placement opportunities ie from September. The placement opportunity this year was pretty good for finance we had great partners onboard like Wells Fargo and Bank of America. The opportunities are subject to the market situation for each domain. Last year the marketing was amazing whereas this year finance nailed it. Highest package 2000000 LPA lowest 800000 LPA. Overall quite good opportunities.

Tuition fee increase policy is subject to the decision of the administration. Yes they can increase/ decrease as per their decision making and requirements. For 2023 admission Tuition fee 2000000 Hostel fee 500000 They provide with Summer internship placement (avg 30000) and final placements (avg 1100000) The roles are good for finance and marketing is decent.

The clubs and comittees are quite good we have domain clubs like finance, marketing, HR. Then we have clubs like theatric, fitness, alumni etc. Committees include cultural, PR, placement and sports. There are different verticals in each club and committee for you to choose, which align with your skillset. All the bodies are student driven so you get a full on management experience. Overall the extra curricular experience is quite good.

This is my favorite part. Hostels here are like 5 star hotels ultimate luxury, cleanliness on point and the space given to each student is quite good. We have game room, TV room, mess, shop etc. The food here is actually really good. There is no outside accommodation available,it is mandatory to stay in hostels but the experience is worth it.

So I will write about the admission process chronologically. Starting with the cutoff, the cutoff for NMIMS Hyderabad was 210 in 2022. So after you cleared this you willing get a call for the further process that id the GD/WAT and PI. In my case I had WAT followed by PI, but might differ yearwise. There is no such criteria of mandate work experience or 10th 12 th score but yes, certain points are given to each criteria ie. 10th,12th, interview performance etc. Then a cumulative is calculated and if you clear that score then you are offered admission. Also different campuses have different cutoffs so your offer is subject yo clearance of the cutoff of a particular campus. Now coming to the application forms and fees everything will be communicated to you via your registered email. The admission process was pretty smooth and no suggestions for improvement.
