NMIMS- where learning begins

the course had several good aspects such as case studies which enhacned practical knowledge as well as focus on academic areas and not only presentations but also rigorous internal component marks. the areas where it could have been a bit better were industrial visits which were not that much. the exams were held in every 3 months and the difficulty level was moderate to easy.

internship opportunities- K12, berkadia, oxane, icici bank, reliance retail, atomberg, 147, arvind fashions, enkash, etc. with average stipend of rs 25,000 and roles offered were portfolio intern, mortage banking, data analyst, business development, HR intern etc.

the students become eligible for SIPs in 2nd trimester of 1st year of MBA and after being placed for SIPs, they expect PPOs and for final placements they start in 4th trimester. this year was a bumpy ride w.r.t placements due to market conditions but still managed to get decent placements from the opportunities in the campus itself. the average package is around 11 lacs and highest is 20 lacs.

the tuition fee at our time was rs 900000 for 1 year and it has increased to around 10.5 lakhs now. the overall cost of education including hostel fee were rs. 22,00,000. scholarships available were not known by me at the time of admission but placements are decent with equal opportunities for marketing, finance as well as for HR. the companies for finance included ICICI Bank PPOs, bank of america, invesco for various analyst roles and product and business manager for marketing roles, hiveminds, nestle and other companies visited.

the campus is situated a little far away from the city, due to this reason the campus life is well built here itself with annual fests such as nirvana- the annual fest, and celebration of festivals and important days. the library is filled with knowledege of relevant subjects with well renowned authors and we also have bloomberg terminal access as well. sports include, Tennis, cricket and basketball grounds with football turf with TT, fooseball, carrom as indoor games.

the room is 4 sharing room with ample space and good storage area for each student and attached washrooms for each dorm of 8 people in girls hostel. the hostels also have grocery shops, game room, tv room, sick room and laundry services available with each floor having own pantry with fridge, microwave and reading rooms.

the cut off for nmims off campuses was 210 and it happened in february 2022. there was a SOP round, a WAT and PI round. the application form was sent via email and the fees was rs 900000 per year and 200000 per year for hostel. there are 6 trimesters in the whole course of 2 years and exams are held in every 3 months. the admission process for us was online, due to covid, which it transformed to offline as an area of improvement.
