Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the MBBS course of our college the one of the best ones. Talking of professors every one of them are talented and are very well furnished int their subjects . The facilities available are comparable even to some of the AIIMS in India. In anatomy department we virtual discesssion hall and in forensic department we also have a virtual autopsy . The clinical labs are very well maintained and are very reliable. The ops is also good . The sophisticated new machines are being brought day and day improving the scale of work . The teaching methods are best here and mostly teachers are very friendly and cooperative so it makes us easy to ask our doubts and clear our mistakes making a good environment for teacher student interaction
Internships Opportunities
The internship of this college is just the best. In internship u have to go to different departments according to the postings allotted and can learn a variety of things and perfect our skills . After internship you can work as Junior Resident for 6 months with a very good salary
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees are very much affordable. The course for MBBS per year is around 16600 rupees. The hostel fees is around 5000 rupees per year included in the MBBS fee. The mess food is good and equally well suited to the tastes and cost effective. For students other than general categories the north east govt provide free scholarships to the other castes.
Campus Life
The campus is very big and the college has a good infrastructure. The campus in its own way very clean and very good place to walk around and the environment here is what makes it the best . There is a indoor stadium in our campus in which we are allowed to play volleyball basketball . There are also badminton courts along with ground for football and cricket.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are very good and new and coloured and equally spacious . The mess food is good. It starts with breakfast with boiled eggs, bread, jam, butter, bananas,poha, egg omelette, parathas, puri on a weekly basis with different things on different days . The lunch is also ok and dinner is fine. At weekends we are served with chicken and paneer . Overall the mess is very ok
Admission
The admission process is a bit hectic. It began by going to the medical unit department near the examination cell. They asked the required documents and gave the details for opting a medical examination. I had to go to different departments starting straight from the hospital main entrance. Searching the departments are a bit of complicated but the overall experience was fun. There are canteens which serve exquisite food in every floor. First I had to go to the general surgery department for checkup , then to the ophthalmology department in the 1st floor for eye checkup and then to the ENT department for ear checkup and also had to go to the blood bank and radiology department for tests and ultimate checkup was complete. All were attested to the documents and along with the challan and bond it was done with hostel allotment and mess.
