Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum in our campus is very good. Here any one can do his minors in their interesting domain. Also the courses which offered in our campus are very much useful for real life situations. Each class is more interactive. So it is not rather to just attend the classes and leave, it is like how well you participated and interacted.
Internships Opportunities
There are some internships which offers to students with and without stipend. There is SRIP (Student research Internship Program) for the students who wants to do their summer research internship in the campus itself which they provide accomadation.
Placement Experience
In our campus the PDC secreteray will offer us the placement opportunities. From 5th semester students become elgible for campus placemments. Also, students should maintain a decent CPI for his/her placements. The highest package so far is 52 lack
Fees and Financial Aid
The semester fee is rupees INR146588. Also there are scholarships which will grant for SCST and Economically weaker sections in which there family income is less than 1.5 lakh. Also there would be interview for this. So for these people, they won't have any tuition fee. Also employment opportunities also are very quite good.
Campus Life
There are so many clubs to join and take part in that. I mostly focuss on the Odyssey Astronomy club in which we can learn so many things related to astronomy and space. so every week we have some meetings and some talks with professors. the next event is Blithchron. It is the best event that takes place in our campus. So it is basicallly a 3 day event in which we will enjoy and dance.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility was too good. We have totally 13 hostels at present. There is no restrictions between boys and girls in the hostels. Also the mess is also quite good. We have different type of varieties every day.
Admission
So the admission process on our campus is quite difficult compared to non-IIT campuses. It is in a well organised form. It is important to clear an entrance exam like JEE Advanced to avail the admission into IIT Gandhinagar. So I have started preparing for my JEE from my class ninth onwards. Also to know about the fee structure and all the remaining stuff the information is very much clearly provided in the website page of IIT Gandhinagar. Also you can view it from the JOSAA Counceling page too. Also one thing to keep in mind is that there are reservation benefits available as per the government norms. So with these benefits certain category of students avail scholarship. However one aspect of the admission process that could be improved is the transparency in the selection criteria. Providing more detailed feedback to applicants on their performance in exams could help them understand where they stand and how they can improve.
