Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is actually very much relevant though, at times we feel very bored with the subjects or feel a few topics are irrelevant but me being a 2nd prof student now can say that everything has its use somewhere or the other. But there must be more interactive sessions between the faculties and the students .... faculties must try to make the students understand the concept rather than just reading out the slides.
Internships Opportunities
Since our college is a medical College there is no scope for placements unlike engineering colleges .....yes we have opportunities for internships .....our seniors who are now interns have a very hectic schedule ....they work hard 24*7 and also they are posted Mohanpur PHC But despite all these things the salary of the intern doctors is not upto the mark.
Fees and Financial Aid
As I am in a government medical College our fee structure is almost very much affordable in comparison to those private medical colleges where people spent almost crores of rupees in the course of 4.5 yrs/5 yrs. And about scholarship we have a variety of options like NEC , ishan Uday , BMS , stipends for SC ST OBC but depending on the yearly income of students father
Campus Life
About the college programs, I must say that we are lucky because a lot of events are organized in our college starting from Fresher's day, cmConvocation ceremony, Teachers day, College fest, College week, Saraswati Puja ( Vasant panchami), etc. We also have a good range of books in our library, Facility of Desktops, air conditioning and well lit. Classroom facilities are also top-notch, fully air-conditioned lecture halls with projectors. And the best of all is our lecture hall 4. Often there are sports activities held ....interbatch matches, and tournaments and during college week multiple tournaments are held. But there is no facility for any clubs or societies.
Admission
To get into AGMC we had to appear for NEET-UG which is an entrance examination to get admission into medical colleges across the country. Then after the results are declared on an India basis we are given All-India ranks (AIR) ..after that people can opt for All-India-level counseling or can go for state counseling. In AGMC we have 19 all-India quota seats. I have taken admission through the state quota ...my score was 562 and I'm an OBC candidate but our state has no facilities for the OBC category, so I have taken admission through the general quota and in the first round of state counseling itself. There are 3 rounds of counseling and an additional stray round (if seats are vacant even at the end of 3rd round) both for all India and state counseling.
