Yes, we have a compulsary one year rotatory internship, as the 5th year. This is the time when you actually get to hone your skills. We have been on numerous overnight outreach camps, working in close association with people who require treatment. Yes, we were given a stipend of ?20,000 /month.

There is no campus selection as such, as it is in the engineering colleges. Mostly people prepare for their higher studies like post graduation or MBA etc after completing their graduation. The 'manipal' tag also holds great value, so that makes it easier to get a job.

The college celebrates various events.. the prime being 'HUES' THE college fest, with numerous completions ranging from writing to dancing for both the students and the staff. We have an annual sports meet- decathlon which goes on for a month almost and culminates at the athletic meet. Apart from this there are various events organised to coomommorate rashtriya ekta diwas, world no tobacco day, AIDS day, etc We have intercollegiate poster and paper presentation competition like gnathopedia, RISE etc And ofcourse the annual COLLEGE day and award ceremony function.

Our time, the fees was 4 lakh 16 thousand per year, which is honestly, inclined to the expensive side. The materials mostly are provided by the college. The hostels are reasonably priced, but the tution fees is bit on the higher side. The prices though maybe now revised.

Manipal, I believe had freeships for the first 5 merit rankers. Apart from this, they also have scholarships for konkani students.

The entire toen of Manipal is based out of the Manipal University itself. The various colleges in Manipal ensures a healthy interaction among students with different backgrounds. The students can participate in the numerous competitions, activities, clubs, workshops that are held by the different colleges at different times all throughout the year.

Manipal hostels are the best of their kind. Not expensive for the kind of rooms and services they provide. The choices of rooms are enough to cater to varied needs. Mostly the rooms are either single or double sharing and with attached washrooms. Apart from that, there also are the wide range of fully furnished apartments to chose from. Unlike other hostels and college, food in Manipal is never an issue, there is practically all kinds of cuisines available suitable for all kinda of budgets.

The students can approach the alumni through the various facebook pages, and all the student passed out of manipal are forever ready to help their juniors.

The exams are well spaced. Different years have different structure of the exam depending on the subjects being taught that year. But the general structure is, theory exam, practical and viva. There are 3 term examinations, which weigh 10% and the final university exam carrying 90% weightage. The cumulative of the two finally decides the final grade.

I gave the admission test which was specifically for manipal back in 2012. Then,there used to be a online test, with multiple dates, you could select the date which suits you the best and had to go to the allowed centre to take the exam. You get to know of your marks immediately, and about a month later, you get called for counselling. After counselling in manipal, you are allocated the seat in either kmc or mcods in manipal or Mangalore depending on your merit score and preference.

One of the best plus of manipal institute is the faculty. All of the teaching staff are also the doctors attending the patients, so the teaching is more contemporary and relevant. The highly qualified and skilled teachers are also absolutely student friendly, and pay special attention to each student at each step, thus adding to the quality of the skill taught multifold.
