Course Curriculum Overview
The course at MANIT Bhopal is well designed, offering a balance of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. One aspect of the cirriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course was its focus on industry-relevant topics and emerging technologies. The inclusion of hands-on projects (both Major and Minor) enhances its relevance to real-world applications. The Industrial Training course prepares the students for real life workplaces, and gives them insight to what they are gonna do in their career. While their is room for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. For instance, incorporating more interdisciplinary coureswork. Additionally, promoting more interacitive teaching methods such as GD's, guest lectures could foster a deeper understanding of the subject. As for the frequency and timing of exams, they are reasonable, but the difficulty level varied depending on the subject and professor. The exams will be conducted with fairness and transparency.
Internships Opportunities
There were many companies that visited during the internship period like Google, Micrsoft, Amazon, JPMC, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche bank, Texas instruments, CISCO, Paypal, Triology among many others. Many students bagged interns with great packages at many of these companies. The stipend ranged from 75,000 PM to 1,50,000 PM The roles were SDE, summer analyst, data anaylyst among others.
Placement Experience
Placements for my college are good. The average package for Computer Science in the year 2022-2023 was 26LPA which is quite good. The students are eligible for the placements in their 4th year. There are many companies that visit the college you can find the list in the official website of MANIT. The placement report available on the official site of MANIT has all the info on the companies visited, percentage of students placed, higest package, median package, average package and many more. Many students bag Pre Placement Offer (PPO) during their internship time. I plan to continue my studies after getting the degree. I have plans to complete MBA from a reputed IIM.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee increase policy is subjected to periodic revisions, with tuition fee increases occuring on an annual basis. The rate of these hikes may varay, but students can expect a moderate increase in tuition fees each year. Tuition fee per semester: - Gen and OBC family income > 5lacs = Rs.69,276 Gen and OBC family income b/w 1 to 5 lacs Rs.27,610 SC/ST/PD and Gen and OBC with < 1lac Rs.6,776 Hostel fee per semester: - Single occupancy Rs.20,500 Double occupancy Rs.18,000 Triple occupancy Rs.15,500 Caution money 5,000 at the beginning of the college. Mess fee: - Rs. 24,000 per year Lots of scholarships are available that can be availed based on your eligibility. Some of them are MCM, NSP. Not a lot of campus employment oppurtunities.
Campus Life
I had great time in MANIT campus. We have a fest each semester, the odd semester having the technical fest and the even one having the cultural fest. The techincal fest will typically be held in the month of November and the cultural fest will be in the month of March. It brings a festive atmosphere to the campus and is a very great time to be around. Lots of events, lots of students, lots of things to learn and enjoy. All the clubs and societies conduct events during the fest and are very great to attend. MANIT has many clubs to choose from. Be it technical or cultural or literary. I myself am from Dristant, The literary society of MANIT and the oldest club of MANIT. The techncial clubs like IEEE, ISTE, Vision, Zenith offer so much to learn in terms of technical prowess. Roobaroo is a great club with many talented members that always lights up the sky with their events during the fests. On the sports front, MANIT does not do that great. We have a sports complex and gym.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels in MANIT are very very poor (atleast for boys). They are not maintained well. The washrooms are not cleaned and sanitized daily. We face issues with water facilites almost every alternative day. The rooms are spacious and have great iternet facility but apart from that the hostel does not hold up to our expectations(what you expect from an institure of national importance). The food is sub par at best. Not prepared in the best and clean conditions. The tables and plates are not well sanitized and maintained. Registration process is quite simple for the hostel, just get the fee receipts and required documents.
Admission
The Admission process was relatively straightforward. As for eligibility candidates must have completed their 10+2 eucation with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in for admission to undergraduate courses. The application can be found on the college official website, along with details regarding applicatoin fees and important application dates. One of the aspects I appreciate about the admission process is reservation provided to the deserving candidates. The reservation for SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC 27%, EWS 10%, PH 5%. For entrance exams, I took the JEE main exam, which served as the basis for admission for the undergraduate programs. The JEE mains entrance exam will be held twice every year through wich students can take part in the admission process. It scales on medium to hard level. Fee structure per semester: - Gen and OBC with Family income > 5lacs - Rs.69,276 Gen and OBC with Family income b/w 1lac to 5lacs Rs.27,610 Gen and OBC and SC/ST/PH with Family income < 1 lac- Rs.6776
