SRIT: the best college in MP for engineering

No bad remarks about the college. The overall experience of my college life is the best, as I got Education at it's best, needed no questions other than college studies, the management is very helpful in every term. I will advise taking admission in SRIT, if you really want to make the best.

As you want to do graduation in Engineering from Jabalpur, this is the best college one can opt, my scores in MP-PET was 85/200 and I was getting all branches in this college (year 2011), since I got an admission in this college i got more opportunities that other college friends as the college has a good campus placement facilities which are must if you are planning to go for Job after graduation.

About course curriculum, the college provides an excellence in curriculum, all the subjects are taught in a good manner and faculty gives more attention in providing practical knowledge rather than theoretical. Each semester has 5 subjects and practicals followed by VIVA and assessments. there is a total of 40 subjects excluding practicals and training.

No, the college does not provide internship but provide the relevant training necessary for candidates in cracking the campus placement exams and exams like CAT,MAT, ZAT, government preparations etc.

Then after many companies like AGS Mumbai, Paytm, Hexaware, Persistent, etc visited and recruited many candidates, In a batch of 140 students, 110 passed the college with a job offer. I got selected in one company as well.

Every year the college organizes the events like College fest: which includes various activities like dancing, singing, treasure hunt, gaming, Engineering activities, college mob, arts and craft, debate competition, Mehendi war, and many other activities which are must for engineers for fun and knowledge. Every candidate takes part in events organized. this college fest takes around 4 to 5 days followed by the end with mandatory DJ Night and college band performance.

Fee structure: depends upon the candidate as there are many students who took admission on the basis of TFW (tuition fee waiver), many take advantage of scholarships provided by MP government scheme, many students are from OBC ST/ SC and for reserved category.

Loan facility is provided by the college for the candidates who are really in need. The college has many scholarship options like reserved category scholarship, MP government schemes, Merit holder students, TFW students etc.

No comments, the seniors, and super seniors were very really helpful. There are fresher and farewell parties given to juniors and seniors where you get a chance to meet seniors. Overall it's a good experience. The faculty, seniors, alumni all are very helpful. They will help you in studies, any other activities and guide you for the same.

Exam structure: 5 subjects, 4 practical, 3 viva for the similar subjects in each semester. At every end of the semester the exams start followed by practicals, externals, written papers and viva as well. There are 8 semesters and in 5th and 7th semester, there are 2 necessary training which the candidate has to undergo (Major / Minor projects). In 5th semester, the minor training and the project and in 7th semester, the major training and projects are submitted.

First, I approached the college by visiting and gathering relevant information about course, campus placements, staff, faculty etc then I got a call from the college for merit level counseling, I went there with all my documents and the faculty present there verified all the documents and asked my interest of stream, I selected BE-CSE and after the merit based counseling i got the stream and admission in the college.

About faculty, there are many teachers who are from IIT/NIT's as well as premium institutes of India and some of them are well- known teachers of Jabalpur. There are teachers who have done masters in subjects, they are teaching students for main subjects like Theory of computation, Electronics, Database, etc. Every teacher makes sure that they provide attention to all of the students in the batch.
