Course Curriculum Overview

IITGN has active learning circulum. And we have exam twice a semester and some short quizzes frequently and we have compulsory HSS and designing courses. We should increase the no of assignments inthe courses.

Internships Opportunities

Summer research internship program (SRIP) will held in every summer. The projects are developing in maxhind learning driven optimisation of lennard Jones parameters, laser based ambient methane detection, etc.

Placement Experience

The major companies visited our campus are Barclays, Texas instruments, Zomato,etc. Students who are in seventh semester are eligible for campus placements. Highest package is seventh six lakhs offered by Texas instruments. 98% of students are placed. I will prepare for UPSC after getting degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

We are having 2 lakhs tuition fees per year. Mess and hostel fees covers 46000/- . For students whose income is below 1 lakh will get 70% concession and SC, ST students get ministry scholarships and some alumni scholarships. We can earn by working as Teaching Assistant, gets 3000 per month.

Campus Life

We have annual technical feats called amalthea and annual cultural fest called blithcron helds in November and February respectively. Classrooms having projectors and air conditioners. We have world class sports complex. We have many clubs like step up, grasp, etc.,

Hostel Facilities

We have luxurious high facilitated rooms having air conditioners and cup boards, wifi connection, study tables with chairs and beds. Five star cleanliness is maintained. We are having nutritious menu, which changes for every month.

Hostel Fee: INR 92000 per year

Admission

I cleared jee main and advanced. Jee mains will held twice in a year ( January and April). We should apply for this exam through the NTA website. Cut off for sc candidates 45 percentile and I secured 1600 sc rank. Jee mains is moderate and jee advanced is quite difficult in difficulty level.

There is no major problem in the curriculum regarding to the course. The curriculum covers almost all major real-world applications. But, the there is so much detailed and compulsive study on techniques that are not even used in today's time.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Insight of IIT Gandhinagar

I applied for almost each Tier 1 IIT and I was getting seat in IIT Roorkee, Guwahati, kharagpur and all other IITs below in NIRF. I chose this college over other colleges because of its new campus and infrastructure and available of outstanding sports facilities. Awesome hostels, Supportive Faculty, Modern Infrastructure, Moderate Placements, and Quality Mess Food

I applied for admission to IITGN fo IITGN for M.Sc. in mathematics. I gave the IIT JAM exam, and after clearing it, i had to make a list of the colleges(IITs) where i wanted to study. In the JAM exam, i got an AIR of 527. With this rank, i coukld not get into top older IITs. At IITGN, there are visiting faculty members who are professor at IIt Bombay and foreign universities. Most of the professor here have done their PhDs from foreign colleges, and they have good research career. And the faculty in Algebra is highly expert. and i also have interset in Algebra, which is why I chose this college....Read More
