A True Reflection of MBB Through My Eyes

I have chosen English Honours because I liked the subject though I feel it lacks in real world application other than the field of education. The topics that are included in the syllabus have no further applications in relevance to the real world. I feel the subject must take into consideration that it is less relevant with the actual world. The teaching methods also now require some newness. The exam timing is very uncertain and is slow compared to the other colleges/ universities . The difficultly level is kept medium.

As it is a government college there's no need of any fees for the girls especially. Though exam fees are taken for subject without practical 280/- and subject without practical 320/- (both girls and boys) and admission fee for boys differs and for girls it is free. There are many government scholarships available for students such as- Ishan Uday, CSS, and stipend for SC/ST. There is no campus placement of any employment.

The annual function held is the Freshers mostly in the month of December. Other than this there are departmental programmes such as Wall magazine programme and other functions depends on if there is any special guest visiting the state or there is any other programme. And there are no groups or clubs run by the students other than the Students union

Admission is done through the common medium of Tripura Higher Education. Where we can prefer any general degree college in the state. My admission was completely on merit basis and no entrance was taken. The admission process was smooth. Students from reserved category also gets advantage during the admission. And I don't think there is any need of improvement here.
