- I got many help from seniors and friends regarding course and managing life problems and stress management! Ps we also go on picnics and adventures with seniors
- Practical and off field support, this is the most important part that i liked i got many help regarding my practical's and at clinics from our SR and professiors who constantly helped us to gain knowledge and give chances to improve
- The college authority also focused on mental health of students for which various sports events were organised and i got chances to participate and i really enjoyed.
Dislikes
- There is a hierarchical monopoly in the system which somewhat effects the educational and freedom of students to think and explore new ideas
- Though helpful but the practical equipments even the lecture halls are inadequate to modern time as a result maximum outputs cant be obtained.
- The college campus is ill managed and very limited for which there is a chaos in almost all day . The hostels arent upto the mark regarding rooms maintainance hygeine and water availability.
Course Curriculum Overview
This curriculum is a 5.5 year long course which at the end makes competent doctora who are able to save lives by their knowledge which is a great thing by itself. This curriculum prepares us to be competent doctors with knowledge and experience and we can choose speciality after NEET PG exam. The course would be better if there were more extensive practical application in a friendly manner without any hierarchical constraints which could readily benefit students and smoothens the process of effective teaching. Talking about exams these are more frequent in MBBS almost every week we have exams which are not easy at all but yes these helps in getting in with the course and improves the learning.
Internships Opportunities
In the mandatory internship programme by CBME one have to do 1 yr internship posting for which he is posted over 15-17 different departments over a duty period to gain various on field knowledge and experience as a medical professional. For which the interns get 20,000 monthly as salary. Though i am still not an intern the details are of my seniors
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees are yearly around 40,000 whichs are constant plus though there is a reduction in the fees for EWS students.The tution fees along with other service fees adds up and cumulative comes around 60,000 per year. If someone takes hostel and mess fees its 90,000. Various scholarships like ISHANIDOY, GENERAL STIPEND , there are batious stipends for category wise also from welfare and average amount is nearly around 40,000 . I dont have undertaken any campus employment
Campus Life
There are many fests organised in college campuse yearly from starting these are like Saraswati pooja (mid jan-feb), convocation ceremony (mid march), College day followed by college week(mid august),freshers party(mid September ), In library there are over 3600books and around 68 journals (approx) of which around 10-15 are international journals. The class rooms have projector computer and central ac facilities. In sports there are local college league for volleyball, football, cricket and badminton tournaments even in college week there are interesting spots events organised. We have our house groups where seniors and us have discussions over our problems and NHM non profitable charity organisation where we serve community and discuss various aspects of medical career and student life.
Admission
The be into MBBS tge main eligibility criteria is to clear the NEET cutoff in order to qualify for medical college counselling process, the application form can be found in NTA official website or any registered GMC website. The application fees are around 2000or 1800 for general but for reserved categories its a bit lower tge application process generally starts 3-4 months prior exam. The reserved categories can avail multiple benefits that includes a reduced application fees, then a reservation in medical college seats which is a key point that can get one a medical seat at a bit higher rank during the admission process was good though there were sone difficulties but the authority were so cooperative and helpful which helped me a lot during admission. Talking about cutoff to get into GMC one must be within the AIR 80000 which may change with reservation quotas. During admission there were many server errors in portal if those could be resolved everyone applicant would be benifited.
