Course Curriculum Overview
course curriculum was relevant in terms of making a carer into field like semiconductors industry,teelcom secor and machine learning as curriculum had subjects like VLSI ,TEELCOMMUNICATIONS. There was theory combined with practicals much needed for real world application industry partnership can be imroved further.
Internships Opportunities
Generally a 8 to 12 weeks summer internships are available. a number of internship opportunities are available through training and internship cell and some of these include internships at DRDO,Bhilai steel plant,IISc,CSIR,BARC.
Placement Experience
A lot of good companies offer opoortunities,these include although list is not exhaustive oracle,musigma,maruti,ABB,Infosys among others. avearge package hovers around 7 lakh per annum with highest ging upto 25 lakhs. approx 80% placement record I chose to use my degree to contribute in civil services and now edtech sector.
Fees and Financial Aid
fee is affordable and it has increased slowly from around 18000 in 2011 to 80000in 2020 It costed me around 35000 tution fee and since I was a localite hostel fees was not applicable for me. scholrships are avaliable for students with good score and sports quota. I got place in infosys and a lot of good companies like oracle,musigma,ABB come as recruiters.
Campus Life
social environmet is inclusive and welcoming NIT raipur has an annual cultural fest called ECLECTICA where you can interact with students from different college and you can showcasee your extra curricular talents like photography,dance. Tech fests are also organsied,i personally hav ebeen part of robotics fest. It has clubs like robotics club,debating club. sports like football,basketball,cricket,badminton are available year round an dduring sports fest .
Admission
Admission was through JEE main examination held twice a year. Eligibility -12th pass with 60% marks. cutoff was around uder 15000 ranks in AIEEE under state domicile for electronics and telecommunication engineering.
