Course Curriculum Overview
In this age, the relevance of this course in unquestionably necessary and the undeniable role that doctors have to play in the scoceital fabric is pivotal. The curriculum is designed to make one acquainted not just with the theory behind the practices, but the practices themselves, in real-world settings. The course load, albeit hefty, does prove to be one of the best among alternatives available globally. Internal assessments are conducted each month to provide students with a report of their preparation on the long run.
Internships Opportunities
After 4 years of the course the college necessarily provides 1 year of mandatory internship, wherein one gets to apply all that they've learnt through years in real-world scenarios in clinical settings.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total course fee for 5½yrs amounts to just Rs 5000, out of which Rs1500 is refundable, being security deposit. Just the mess fees are external and subject to change.This proves as an incentive for the best minds to compete and requires no more concession for anyone irrespective of the socio-economic strata they belong to. Various scholarships that the students can undertake are actively discussed via the concerned authorities to provide further assistance.
Campus Life
Annual day, Intercollege fests, interhouse contests, club meetings, festivities, are all a part of life at AIIMS Kalyani. The environment is not just conducive for academic excellence but for social development as well and stands tall in its attempt to provide a hollistic growth development. Numerous clubs, that of Art, music, dance, drama, sports and more have been formed that cater to needs of the students.
Hostel Facilities
For the first 2 years of the course, one is allocated a room with double occupancy, the rooms being spacious enough for easy accomodation. Later, single rooms with attached washrooms are allocated. Meal quality is fairly good and the menu presents appreciable variety.
Admission
Admission process includes three steps, 1. College allocation through NTA( online ) 2. Submission of required documents ( offline ) 3. Reporting, medical examination and hostel allotment ( offline ) The process has been described in extreme detail in the various admission brochures available and is a smooth process without much hassle.
