Course Curriculum Overview
I rate the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness very high. The college has a great way to make students familiar with the real world applications for the students. The courseware has projects and industrial training courses wich makes it possible for the students to get faimliar with the industry. The examinations are well organised and are conducted in a fair way. The exams although are difficult can be attempted with a good amount of preparation.
Internships Opportunities
We get many oppurtunities during our internship season that are typically around the start of 3rd year. All the companies visit the campus and take good number of students for internship oppurtunities. We are given a handsome amount of Stipend for the work and invaluable experience.
Placement Experience
The students from 4th year are eligible for campus placements and can apply for the campus selection placement drive. They typically start at the beginning of the semester in the 4th year, that is 7th semester. The students with an aggregate CGPA of 7.5 or above are allowed to sit for the placements. The placements documents are available online. Percentage of placed students is at a good 85%. I plan to get a good placement for myself and continue as a Software Developer in the future.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee increase policy and the regularity and rate of such hikes are not disclosed to the normal students. But the education here is quite affordable. The fee structure depends on category and family income of the student. General and Other backward castes depending on the income are divided into three main catogeries. They are less than 1 lakh, between 1lakh and 5lakh, above 5lakh. The fee in numbers is 6776/-, 27,610/-, 69,000/- respectively. The financial aid in the form of scholarships are not exclusively provided by the college but can be availed that from outside.
Campus Life
The overall experience with campus life is very enjoyable. We have great atmosphere here in the campus and people get to have really great time. We have technical, cultural and literary clubs and societies. We get to do all sorts of things in the clubs as these are run and maintained by students. I'm from Rashtra basha club and We host tooryanad event where we have a mini fest in the campus with multiple events and programs over two days. Fests are conducted twice in an year. One is Technical fest that is held in November and the other one is Cultural that is held in March. The college really has a festive mood during these days and everyone enjoys a lot . Sports are not given the attention they require in our campus.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are provided right here inside the campus. We have many hostels in the campus. But the maintainence of these hostels is very bad. The sanitation is not done on regular basis. The authorities doesnot respond to any queires regarding the hostel issues. The food tastes really awfull. The drinking water facility stops and times. The water facilities are also not continuous. The mess is maintained very poorly.
Admission
The admission process can be found online. The eligibility for the course is getting a minimum of 75% of score in your 10+2 grade. Apply for JEE examination through NTA portal. The exam is held twice in an year. Cross the cut off mark and apply for seat allocation through JOSSA portal. Check your preferences and prepare a list of colleges based of your priority. Wait for all the rounds and check for the college. Enter the CSAB round also for better results. I didn't find any place for improvement as of now.
Interview Experience
No there were not any group discussions or interviews of the admission. As mentioned in the second step it is very easy and straight forward. The only important thing is to cross the cut off in the JEE mains examinatoin. The test pattern for JEE mains is 20 multiple choice questions and 5 integral questions for each subjects, and there are three subjects therefor 60 multiple choice questions and 15 interger type questions totalling to 75questions. The preparation can be done in any way. Youtube has many good resources check them!!
