If you want to have a college with Good Placement statistics every year even in low rank, go for it. And if you want to have a college with great infrastructure, full wifi campus compromising with your branch, then don't.

The placement of EEE, overhere is very nice and i wanted to take EEE. In AIR 13000, EEE is the best in this Rank in this college, compared to other colleges and other courses in AIR 13000. In this college students learn things related to their Branch by the Various Technical teams present here of their Interest. Like we have Team RAGE and Team REVANTA for working in most of the EEE stuff. HOSTELS are very good and hygiene. Mess Food is very good not like the other institution's mess and hostels of which their students always complaint about.

we have the TAP( Training and placement) cell of every branch. They take care of the COMPANIES visiting college and internships of students. Companies like Amazon, Samsung, HP, wipro, Oracle etc. Visit our Institute every year.

The placements are good at NIT JAMSHEDPUR. Almost 90 % of the students from every branch. ( expect Civil.) get placed with average package of 6-6.5 L.P.A. The Highest Package offered till now for EEE, Mechanical is 21 LPA and for CSE ( varies every year, last to last year highest was 67 LPA.) is 35 lpa.

We Have the TechnoManagement Fest Of NIT JAMSHEDPUR, OJASS. Which is the second largest college Fest among the north east India,which includes many workshops like Robotics, PLC, MATLAB etc. And cultural fest CULFEST which is also a very great platform to explore your talent and earns money. And the Sports fest URJA.

There are 2 categories of fee structure. One for General/Obc and another for Sc/St. The overall fees of 4 years is Rs. 8,48,000 /- for the first category. The only difference is the SC/St do not have to give Rs 62,500 tuition fees of all 8 semesters. Although, there is a Remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fees for General / Obc students whose parental income is greater than 1 lakh and less than 5 lakhs per annum. Which means 2/3rd of the tuition fees per semester will be reimbursement to you at the end of every semester. For students of general / obc category, whose parental income is less than 1 lakhs per annum, will get Full Remission means full reimbursement of tuition fees at the end of every semester.

We have State bank Of India in our campus itself, where you can easily apply for loan, if you want to take one, And for NIT students the interest rate is 8.5% only( for others it is 10 %).

Campus life at NIT JAMSHEDPUR, is full of joy, excitement,and learning at every stage. Whether you are a 1st year, 2nd year or any other year. We have Fests ( OJASS, THE TECHNOMANAGEMENT FEST OF NIT JAMSHEDPUR) like no where in the north East of India with Full Extravaganza of celebrities and Cash prizes of Worth more than Rs. 15 lakhs and the Cultural fest which is CULFEST and sports fest URJA.

Hostels are like heaven. First of all all the students have single rooms,with private balcony in their rooms. It has Lifts, fire alarms, fire extinguishers at every floor. They are very hygiene and maintained. Now come to Mess, We Have a very Bug and cool Mega Mess and the food is very good and no leaves on Sundays and holidays. They serve all time.

Since The passouts every year are good with good placements And Seniors here, all are good and ready to help their Juniors. Just the first year is with full of many ups and downs, but every moment is itself an experience which mold the student into an Individual ready to face challenge. Seniors and juniors both respect each other.

Till last year, we had Test 1, test 2 and end semester exams pattern for each semester, followed. But from this year it is changed to Mid semester exams and then End semester exams. Quality of question paper is good and sometimes tricky too. Few of the teachers are rude and not ready to give you marks easily. While Other are generous.

First of all, i prepared very hard for JEE MAINS, then secured AIR 13089 in JEE MAINS. Being Resident of Madhya Pradesh. I wanted to take ECE of MANIT BHOPAL. but due to my small mistake ( a little up down of choice filling) which afterwards turned into my life EEE NIT JAMSHEDPUR. But After coming here, i realised. It was a good thing happened to me. I did the paper work at My nearest reporting center and afterwards reported to the institution for further seat allotment process. Teachers of Electricals and electronics are not so good. They are knowledgeable but it is like they don't have that way with students, which we expect to be taugh like our coaching Institutes. But, this is the scenario of very institution i guess. What is good at NIT JAMSHEDPUR that students are not forced to attend classes,the benefit is that students can study of their own in hostels and can prepare for competitive exams like GATE etc.
