Life of an Average Vittian

The course i selected is called Computer Science with Business Systems, it is relatively a new course in India. CSBS porgrams typically offer a combination of both computer oriented subjects as well as Business analytical subjects which was of my particular intrest . This stream is unique from every other stream because it is offered by TCS and do not provide option of FFCS which is the option to select subjects and faculty.

Internships are provided to students in their third years based on their selection in stream and intrests . Students are also provided with the opportunity to work under faculties in the purpose of publishing research papers whilst providing adequate and fair credit to the studentd opting to do it . And this can be done in any year by approaching the faculty of your choice and talking to them about it . They may ask you to prove your competance first , so it may be resourcful to have a base or have a project previously done on the same subject that the faculty is an expert in .

Campus placments in VIT are phenomenol . The students are provided with the opportunity to sit infront of over a 100 companies from almost all major industries to compete amongst each other to grap various packages which varies greatly. Based on performnce and reviews you may even be placed in international organizations like Google , Microsoft , Apple , etc.

Based on your performance in VITEEE , your prefered course and its tuition fee will be provided to you . THe fee structure goes as 2 lakh in category 1 and subsequently 3 lakh 4 lakh and 5 lakh , and if you wish to avail the NRI option like i did then direct 10 Lakhs but it does offer easier room allocation benafits as an NRI

Overall , the campus is extremely vibrant with people hailing from various corners of India and even small groups of exchange students as well, The campus celebrates almost all major festivals and even has an amazing festival season called Rivera .Even clubs based on your state are existant which are very active . Overall you cannot run out of things to do in VIT

Depending on your hostel selection you will be alloted rooms. One beds are typically to small , but 2 beds are conveneint for those who want their quient and peace . 4 beds are extremely spacious and provide adequate breathing room especially in the newer blocks . 3 beds are usually a little congested for 3 individuals .

VIT offered an entrance exam called VITEEE . This is the direct entrance examination into VIT but i used their NRI provision which can also be found on their website. Being raised in UAE , i availed that option. the option is available in Admissions in the vit vellore website , we can opt our prefered course without having to clear VITEEE. It cost the student 10 Lakhs per annum as tuition Fee
