An experience to cherish for lifetime

As of my department's concern, I really do not see any drawbacks in the management or office.

This college is known for its magnificent teachers, students, the bonding between people, swift management, and the environment which will give you the experience of a lifetime to cherish. The college is not very big, but you will definitely learn things which you want in any other place.

The syllabus structure though it is decided by the university, is very helpful for the students, especially who are switching streams after 12th. The teachers cover the syllabus well before time, they even take regular tests. Also the test examination 3 months before the annual examinations, each year is very helpful in assessing the preparation for the finals.

my college does not provide any internship, but the teachers kept us posted about the seminars and conference relevant to our subject, which helped us grow.

Same as above. the teachers help in every possible way, but there is no fixed placement cell or something like that. As my subject was English literature, no company placement is possible, but for science subjects, our college surely directed students to the right path.

Along with all the national events like Gandhi Jayanti or Independence day, the college also celebrates Reunions, Freshers' welcome, annual sports, Fest, Annual cultural events, also departmental seminars and the prize distribution events to celebrate the students' outstanding performances.

The total fee for an English Literature Honours course is nearly about 3000 for three years. Though it's not exactly 3000. The fees have to be paid the first one at the time of admission, the second one at the time of the starting of the second year and the last one at the start of the third or last year. The fees for General students are much lesser.

I did not avail of any scholarship or loan facility. although if you are not in a financially sound condition you can apply for a fee waive. the state and central government scholarships are available in college.

the gender ratio varies from department to department, in some, there are more boys and in some, there are more girls. Overall there is no ratio gap between genders. The extracurricular events are very much engaging and entertaining. Diversity is not only maintained also encouraged.

The hostel for ladies was recently inaugurated. There is a canteen and the prices are subsidized, though the I don't have the information on the mess facility for the hostel students. The food in the canteen is nice, there is a wide range of food available all the time.

The alumni network is very much approachable and it contains much celebrity faces. the seniors are very much approachable and always ready to help.

Apart from the class tests which are taken by the teachers through consultation with the students, there will be 3 annual exams in three years. 8 Honors papers and 6 pass papers (3 for each pass subjects). you are required to choose three subjects at the time of filling in your form for admission. One subject for Honours( 8 total papers), and two pass papers( 3 papers each). In the first year, you will sit for 2 honors papers and 1 pass paper for each subject. In the second year, you'll sit for 2 honors papers and 2 pass papers for each and in the third and final year, you have to sit for only 4 honors papers.

I bought their form from the college campus and filled in the form, then they published the merit list. My name was in the first merit list, though there were 3 merit lists published in that particular year. The number of merit lists and the student intake capacity is subject to changes, so please verify before submitting the forms.

The faculty of my department was very friendly, they guided me in every possible way. Their teaching techniques helped us immensely. Also, the annual seminar organized for students is very very helpful for the students as it provides with a chance for the students to learn writing and reading a paper on their own.
