Likes

Student chapters of college... and the way fests are conducted on large scale.
The great active participation of students in various competitions.
The very helpful professors and seniors.... they provide exposure for various projects and research areas.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of college is very disappointing.
Girls hostel has intime of 10.30 pm while boys dont have any intimate this creates ratio in contribution of girls in many stuff.
The very Conservative nature of dean in college dominates in some or other way.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum basically is same as other NIT colleges. Curriculum contains subjects related to course and humanities and physical trainings too... college gives exposure to so many technical and non technical activities through various student chapters .. students also participate in many competitions in india and abroad as well.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 134500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Academic fees are around 170000 to 225000 yearly....and hostel fees are around 25000 to 30000 yearly including mess facility.... based on your reservation and annual income you many get fee remission benefits... college also provides platform to opt for scholarships....

Campus Life

SVNIT college greats arranges techno managerial and cultural events per year.... techno managerial fest is named as mindbend and cultural fest is known as sparsh ... both are held generally in month of march or April.... these events are gujrats largest fest... and they greatly involve various club of college.... dance club - malang. ... singing club - raag.... acting club - kindar... convex and cinemephilia for photography and videography.... drishti a technical club... phoenix aero and phoenix racing club..

Admission

Allotment was conducted by JoSSA . After completion of all rounds students were called for physical reporting. On the day of reporting students had to submit all the relevant documents to institute. On the same day students are alloted hostel rooms. The eligibility to enter SVNIT is same as all other NIT colleges that is completely based on JEE MAINS score. After paying seat acceptance fee you will find your application form in JOSSA website itself. Students who avail reservation benefits strictly need to submit each and every documents on day of reporting or else he/she would not get reservation benefits.

There is no major problem in the curriculum regarding to the course. The curriculum covers almost all major real-world applications. But, the there is so much detailed and compulsive study on techniques that are not even used in today's time.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Placements start to comence from 7th sem.It is the eligibility criteria for all students. Companies like Sopan Industries etc have visited the campus for placement purpose. Highest package was of around 4.9lpa and average is around 3.4lpa Most students who got placements were those with an average CGPA of 8.6

Inside SVNIT: A students’s UNFILTERED view

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. And talking about my branch , there are various companies around my home town . Generally SVNIT accepts the admission on the basis of JEE MAINS score. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. Great college for exploring and learning.

I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai. The admission process is that you have to qualify in jee mains with rank of around 40k or if categories then can go upto 60k. And you would need to get more than 75+ in cbse....Read More
