Course Curriculum Overview
I took admission in this college in mechanical branch. It is my first year and there are all subjects in our curriculum. The main branch subject will be there from next year that is second year. There should be more visual teaching like using smart boards for better understanding. We have only two exams per semester one is mid semester exams and another end semester exams.
Placement Experience
My college nit jamshedpur is known for its good placement record in core like in my mechanical branch the placement percentage is about 98%. My college offers good placement. Students are eligible for placement for. 7th semester in my college students also do internship in 3rd year. The highest placement this is was around 60 lakhs in electronics as far as I remember. The average package is around 15 lakhs. My plans after getting degree is that I will go for civil services.
Fees and Financial Aid
The main fee in our hole fee structure is tution fees which is around 70 thousand per semester. I have a category so my tution fees is not included in my fee structure. For people who have difficulties in submitted fees so they are given fee remission. In our college we also have loan system banks provide educational loan for students and I have seen many students taking benifit of it.
Campus Life
There are 2 main fest each of cultural and technical fest cul fest is main cultural fest and it is held in February this year it was held on 9 feb to 11 feb. Ojjas is technical fest and it will be held in April. There are many much more branch fest which are held according to branch convenient. There are many books which consist of course books and there are many books according to interest. Class rooms of my college are very modern and have smart board and the most important all the classrooms are fully ac furnished. There are many clubs cultural clubs like rooh for singing beat breakers for dancing focus for photography there are many technical clubs also.
Hostel Facilities
There is double seater room in first year and after that there are single seater for rest of 3 years. Rooms are included with one study table and one chair there are good almirah also in our rooms. Mess in our hostel is also good and makes food for both veg and nonveg for people accordingly. Hostels in my college are very good. In my college there is no dayscholer system that means everyone has to opt for hotels during admission process.
Admission
The admission process in this college is same as of it is there in other NITs. In this college I have got admission through my jee result. I have a category in sc and my cutoff was 2800 category rank. All though my admission process was very smooth but I faced some problems due to my documents, but that was cleared lately by my college dean.
