Course Curriculum Overview

The overall curriculum was decent for my batch but it is updated to new and better curriculum for new batch. It is well designed basically split between labs and classes. Lab runs on strength of 16 to 17 students while 55 to 60 students participate in theory classes

Class Size: 56Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are approx 67k per semester and 37k of hostel and mess. Which approx leads to 2.1 to 2.2 lakhs per year. The is no scholarship on mess and hostel but the are 66 percentage to 100 percentage fee remission based on cast and family income. If you belong to Gujarat you can also apply for MYSY scholarship.

Campus Life

The overall experience is decent while not upto range of compared with other NIT's. But the infrastructure is improving day by day. Like it will take some more years to get up to mark but if compared with other colleges of Gujarat the campus, clubs are doing quite well.

Admission

I got admission though Jee mains in Svnit, overall process is smooth. The seat was allotted through JOSA in chemical engineering which further updated to mechanical engineer in CSAB. The rank on which I got admission is 21K in jee mains

There is no major problem in the curriculum regarding to the course. The curriculum covers almost all major real-world applications. But, the there is so much detailed and compulsive study on techniques that are not even used in today's time.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Placements start to comence from 7th sem.It is the eligibility criteria for all students. Companies like Sopan Industries etc have visited the campus for placement purpose. Highest package was of around 4.9lpa and average is around 3.4lpa Most students who got placements were those with an average CGPA of 8.6

From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement, too much companies are visited to our campus like , L&T , TATA, TCS many others around 150+ companies. Which is the highest placement in our college is that 20 lakhs and average package is that around 5 to 6 lakhs.

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. Admission process is mainly based on CCMT , JOSSHA, ISR , etc Depending on the exams which u have given, u can get selected for this college. Great college for exploring and learning.

I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai.
