Course Curriculum Overview

Our college has best mechanical faculty among most of the nits and is some what true also There is proper way of attendance system and teachers experience is good Most of the teachers use PPT which is difficult to understand

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a proper system of scholarship and is easy way for every student to take it Tution fee is slightly increasing in last few years The scholarship scheme comes under central government scheme The complete cost is around 6 lakhs

Campus Life

There is a technical event in college called mindband and there are technical clubs of every department The library is having almost all facility and have a silent environment There are NCC and NSS for social awareness

Admission

First we have to fill application form to apply for college then we have to come to college to complete the whole process The cuttoff was upto 45000 rank Our first year was quite quick Only 8 month semester was there The SAC of ground is not good

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Placements start to comence from 7th sem.It is the eligibility criteria for all students. Companies like Sopan Industries etc have visited the campus for placement purpose. Highest package was of around 4.9lpa and average is around 3.4lpa Most students who got placements were those with an average CGPA of 8.6

From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement, too much companies are visited to our campus like , L&T , TATA, TCS many others around 150+ companies. Which is the highest placement in our college is that 20 lakhs and average package is that around 5 to 6 lakhs.

Inside SVNIT: A students’s UNFILTERED view

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. And talking about my branch , there are various companies around my home town . Generally SVNIT accepts the admission on the basis of JEE MAINS score. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai.
