Course Curriculum Overview
I had chosen ECE because I had interest in networking, embedded systems. These were the main aspects that influenced me to choose this stream. The course and curriculum provided here is prepares us for real-world problem solving, and makes us more competent enough to face challenges. There are many other activities that the college brings up for the students like Hackathons, various other events to enhance their programming skills and to boost their personality development since the first semester. There are many Technical clubs which encourage students to think creatively and implement innovative ideas. CMRIT has adopted new ways of teaching-learning processes which prepare us for new world challenges. They conduct continuous class tests and assesments to enhance our learning ability.
Internships Opportunities
I have no clear view about it because I am still in my first year of engineering. But, I have heard from my seniors that they have got good internship opportunities like two of them got in Maple Labs and Cimpress, etc.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for placements starting from the seventh semester. Thhe highest package offered here is 30L per annum and average package of 7L per annum. My plans after getting the degree is pursuing a masters in Networking.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got admission through KCET, hence I had to pay a fees of Rs,124574 /yr which includes all the service fee and other charges too. There are many scholarships available for students to avail like Scholarship for Women Engineers( SWE)
Campus Life
There is an inter-collegiate fest that happens every year-CULTURA. This event welcomes many colleges across Bangalore for many events that take place during the fest. The central library in CMRIT provides many sources which is easily accessible for the students. They keep updating the journals and research paper resources frequently and also provide information about it so that we can make use of these resourses to the fullest. The classrooms are equipped with projectors making it easy for the faculty to make teaching more innovative and easy. Talking about sports and other extracuricullar activities, there is a annual sports fest held every year in CMRIT, i.e. 'SPARDHA' which is again inter-collegiate fest, where other colleges are invited for many sports competitions like, kabaddi, basketball, etc. There are also many Student run Technical and non technical clubs in CMRIT which creates space for students to improve their innovative skills.
Admission
I had applied to this college through KCET and the cutoff for ECE course which I opted for was 24000 (approx) this year, and because my rank falls under this cutoff, I got a seat in the college. Once my seat was confirmed, I got a call from the admin office regarding the admission process. They had expalined the whole process properly which included the following things: What documents I should be submitting. What all details should I be providing, and other necessary procedures. They guided us all the way for completing all these procedures, like which block to go for submitting the records and then where to collect the ID card and other procedures.
