Course Curriculum Overview

4

The faculty members at this institution are highly competent, providing exceptional guidance throughout the comprehensive MBA curriculum. This program encompasses all fundamental aspects of MBA studies, delving into subjects such as accounting, statistics, and Python basics. Such a holistic approach not only equips students with a thorough understanding of various disciplines but also facilitates informed decisions regarding major and minor specializations. Having exposure to a diverse array of subjects offers students invaluable insights, empowering them to navigate their academic and professional journeys with confidence and clarity.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship process was a bit tough this year because of the market condition and many of us were tensed if we will get placement or not. But at the end we got it and as have inclined towards finance I got a placement over there I got placement and advisory firm and hence it will help me to gain knowledge and it is equity research internship through which I'm very excited to learn more. Summer internship may very as per the institute and the market condition but final internships are going pretty well.

Placement Experience

4

Every student is automatically enrolled in the campus placement process unless they choose to opt out. The college facilitates a seamless placement experience, with companies conducting recruitment processes directly on campus. Typically, these processes involve group discussions and personal interviews, although some companies may employ alternative methods. Various companies spanning different industries participate in placements, ensuring opportunities for students across majors.

Fees and Financial Aid

While I'm not well-versed in the details of scholarship programs, I can provide clarity on the structure of college and hostel fees. Over the two-year duration of the program, the college fees amount to 20 lakhs, evenly divided across semesters. Hostel availability hinges on prompt booking, with the girls' hostel being particularly commendable for its swift resolution of any issues. However, securing accommodation can be challenging for CMAT-admitted students due to high demand.

Campus Life

4

The campus boasts stunning aesthetics, yet I occasionally find the study spaces limited, often needing to search for available spots amid the bustling student population. The sizable batch size exacerbates this challenge. Despite this, campus life remains vibrant and enjoyable, although I haven't participated in any clubs or committees. In retrospect, I recognize the value of committee involvement, as it facilitates networking and offers insights into diverse perspectives, enhancing the MBA experience.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities cater well to students hailing from outside Mumbai or Maharashtra, particularly considering the bustling nature of the surrounding area. A standout feature is the hostel's close proximity to the college, making it incredibly convenient for daily commute—just a few steps away. While the fees may be on the higher side, students have the flexibility to choose between double and triple sharing accommodations. Opting for triple sharing offers more space, although I ended up in a double sharing room due to limited availability upon my arrival. Despite the lack of benefits beyond cost savings, the accommodation pleasantly surprises with its quality.

Admission

After not achieving the desired marks in CAT, I managed to secure a commendable 99.67 percentile in CMAT, which significantly expanded my opportunities. The admission process at K J Somaiya involved a Case Analysis and Personal Interview, which I found to be relatively manageable. Given my rigorous study routine of 12-14 hours a day in preparation for CMAT, the exam itself felt comparatively easier. I appreciated the seamless flow of the process at K J Somaiya. The process of the CMAT was really goood and everyone knew that if she can bring 99 percentile she is good enough to be in the college, the admission team who took my interview were very sweet and humble.

Interview Experience

4.5

Given my strong CMAT score, my admission process at K J Somaiya consisted solely of a case analysis and personal interview. During the case analysis, which revolved around football—a subject unfamiliar to me—I found myself challenged, yet I endeavored to provide my best response. Subsequently, the personal interview proceeded smoothly, with minimal technical depth, allowing me to confidently deliver accurate responses.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
