I've choosen ECE branch. is a branch of engineering that covers the study, design, development, and application of electrical circuits, electronics, and communication systems. ECE engineers work on a wide range of products, from consumer electronics to telecommunications equipment, medical devices, and aerospace systems. This is what inspired me to choose this stream. The college curriculum provides full on knowledge to help the students to prepare them according to core aspects of this branch. More hands on learning classes would be appreciated. The college conducts frequent exams and lab session for the students to test their level of understanding and skills. The difficulty level is sufficient enough for the course's needs

Some students start doing internships right from 2 yr. But there isn't much students who start internship while still in college. However the passing out students are required to do mandatory internship in order to secure good job through placements. Mini projects are also to be submitted to encourage team work and learning

Students are eligible to attend placements from the end of 6 th semester. CMR institute of technology has exceedingly good placement record. The preparation for placement of students begins right from the first year, via the TYL program which stands for Tie Your LACES. Under this program the students work on Language, Aptitude, Coding, Experiential learning, and Soft skills. Such training offered at CMR Institute of Technology improves the skills and enhance the confidence. The well experienced and skilled trainers nurture the students in every possible aspect including coding to aptitude to soft skills required for a successful interview process and placement. High number of students get placements. Average package is around 6 lpa. Highest can go upto 20 lpa. Around 75 companies conduct on campus placements.

The fee for students joining through kcet is around 1 lakh. The comedk students fee range may go upto 2-2.5 lakh per annum.The management quota fee for ece is 3 Lakh. For courses like CSE and IS its around 5 lpa. Hostel charges are separate depending upon the needs of the student. There are some concession for the physically disabled students and also other scholarships.

CMRIT accepts admission through entrance exams such as KCET and COMEDK. Each branch requires a certain ranking. The college is one of the top ranked in Bangalore. You can also secure admission through management quota. The college website provides the admission details such as forms , dates and respective course fees. There are some reservations for students from certain categories. The entrance exams are moderately difficult. A KCET rank in the range of 25-40 K can secure you a admission in CMRIT. They also provide seats for the management students. For ECE the fee starts around 3Lakh per annum. The admission process is quiet simple if you are being alloted seat through counselling. By submitting documents your admission is secured. Overall easy going process. I didn't face any issues during it
