Remarks
The good remarks about our college are it is like fair enough. And the bad remark about the college is with the information system or the notice system. It is not at all good. The office staffs they don't make one feel comfortable except few.
Entrance Preview
I'd heard a lot about Jogamaya College. It is one of the reputed colleges in Kolkata under Calcutta University. I wanted to be a part of this historical place. Our Chief minister of West Bengal is an alumnus of our college. Many women alumni is a part of our Jogamaya College.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I opted for is B.Com Accountancy & Finance and it is one of a very interesting and easy subject. I wanted to do this course since class 11. After got admission in college for this course i got good marks in 1 year under teacher guidance and their support. The teaching faculty is good. Professors are always there to lend an ear to each student and I'm glad that they do so.
Internships Opportunities
I honestly have no idea if our college has any internship facility. I don't know what would have been the general stipend and overall stipend, even if our college provided internships.
Placement Experience
The placements for my batch was based on merit and hence, it gives me an opportunity to know more. Our college also provides a job for students who get good marks. The teaching faculty is good. Professors are always there to lend an ear to each student and I'm glad that they do so. Students are often offered responsibilities, which ultimately enhances their leadership abilities and sharpens their confrontation skills. I'm glad to be a part of JDC.
College Events
Our college has an auditorium, that is particularly meant for programmes like orientation, freshers, religious celebrations, and many more.students are officially informed about the upcoming programme. Attendance is compulsory, making it a point not to force or persuade any individual to attend any event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
This is a total government college affiliated under Calcutta University. Our college fee structure is feasible. It is decided to keep in mind the financial condition of every household or person to person. Not only that, students coming from Below Poverty Level can also study in college
Fees and Financial Aid
Kanyashree is a well-known procedure for girls under 18, possessing poor financial conditions, to obtain proper help in order to continue their education.
Campus Life
As it is a girls college, so there is no gender ratio. Although there are male professors and office staffs, they are very helpful. Every year, debates, quiz competition, essay writing completions are being held in inter college. Every and each student participate in all these competition. There are facilities for games, sports, and other co-curricular activities but there ain't any proper communication of its existence.
Hostel Facilities
I dont live in the hostel and hence,i personally dont have an opinion.I have heard stuff about college hostel from my friends who live there. According to them, the food is moderate. The place is somewhat clean. The rooms are well-lit.The place for each student isn't spacious enough to comfortably settle in, while their course continues in college.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni network and the senior students are very helpful. The senior is very friendly and warm. Their behavior is pleasant enough and makes the other person confident and strong. We get to know a lot of information from them and they have always been with us through thick and thin.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is very simple and easy we have got an internal examination which is of 20 marks.our syllabus has been updated and hence,we have to give exams under CBCS system. Students of every college under Calcutta university are alloted a specific exam centre,I was guided by my college professors about the rules and regulations if any.
Admission
There was notice available in the website about the admission in Jogamaya College website. The procedures were done online. At first I went through the site and read the context available. Proceeded with the option of forms available for the courses.
Faculty
The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They listen, students, all problems. The teaching faculty is good. Some teachers lack interaction though. The chapters and subjects are nicely organized among various teachers for different subjects. They are helpful when individuals walk up to them in need, though.
