Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is standard and fulfils all guidelines of AICTE. Students are taught C in their first year and Java in the upcoming years. The curriculum is not too relevant to the new trends but similar is the case with most of the colleges. The professors are cooperative and help you wherever and whenever needed. In the first year there are 2 mid-sems and one end sem exam along with practicals. 1st mid sem- 1-1.5 months after sem start and 2nd mid sem- 1 month after 1st mid sem. end sem takes place 1 month after 2nd mid sem with adequate gaps between papers
Placement Experience
6th sem onwards List keeps updating. Visit the site of BPIT. they provide a clear Excel data of placements although the very high ones are not on campus but you may expect companies to give basic 4lpa. I don't have much idea about placements but seniors suggest to try off campus for better results and not expect much from the college Coca cola does not reveal it's formula
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the first year was Rs.177900 which includes Rs.20000 University fee, Rs.8000 book bank charge(worthless), Rs.2000 alumni fee, Tuition fee Rs.132900, security fee(refundable) Rs.10000 and Rs.5000 for miscellaneous. Second year onwards the fee is Rs.157900, they just remove the university fee. Total fees over the course of 4 years- 651600 This does not include hostel fee as the college does not have one for boyscbut there is one for girls
Campus Life
BPIT has a cultural fest named Malhaar which is quite good and takes place end of Nov-starting of December. Hackhazards IPU's largest hackathon is organised by nameSpace community in BPIT. The Library is well furnished and is the best maintained area of the college. You will find daily newspapers and monthly magazines along with all types of course books. The practical labs have all the necessary equipments although not in the best condition but they still do the job. The campus has Cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis. Cricket, football and basketball leagues are held. There are 2-3 tech socities in the campus namely nameSpace, hashdefine, anveshan. There is a poetry club called Kalam. A photography group Opticlick. An art group Chromavita. NSS is also present in the campus. The campus is very small but basic facilities are provided. There are no AC's in the classroom
Admission
Admission in B.Tech courses is through JEE Mains Score however 10% of the seats are reserved for Management Quota. One must apply for IPU counseling with JEE mains score to get admission. For candidates having Delhi Quota the cut-off in spot round 2 for cse can go upto 130k and for IT it goes upto 180k for general category students. For those outside Delhi the cutoff for cse in spot round 2 was around 70-75k and for IT it was 90-95k. For those outside Delhi.please keep a backup option if you have a rank above 70k as IPU appplied Delhi quota in spot round 1 this time. Admission process could have been easier if IPU was clear about its process of giving quota in various rounds from the beginning and was punctual with notices and dates of results
