Course Curriculum Overview
Being a private institute, it doesn't have to depend on government norms to change syllabus. Therefore the syllabus is not at all outdated and is according to the needs and demands of today's world. In a semester we have exams thrice namely, term 1, term 2 and end semester of 20,20 and 35 marks respectively.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities in our college is great. And if you're a girl, you'll be benefitted more. There are many seniors currently working as interns in companies like Adobe, Microsoft with an amazing stipend.
Placement Experience
The average package of our college is around Rs. 11,50,000 per annum. The average package for cse and it branch is much higher, ranging around 14-15 lakh per annum. All MnCs and big companies visit the campus, including Microsoft, Adobe, etc
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the four year btech course is 12,00,000 and 8,00,000 extra if you opt for hostel. We've 3,00,000 annual fees of course and 1,00,000 rupees for hostel per semester. Being a private Institute there aren't many scholarships available here.
Campus Life
JIIT have 2 campuses, one in sector 62, the other one in sector 128, Noida. So there are basically two annual fests, one for each campus. Sector 62 has annual fest named IMPRESSIONS and sector 128 has annual fest named CONVERGE. They occur in even semester, usually around the month of february and march. Moreover there are individual societies and hubs which conduct mini events regularly. The campus is a bit small, but it's very beautiful.
Hostel Facilities
There are all 2 seater rooms. They are all centrally air conditionered. Timings of ac are from 9 pm to 5 am on weekdays. And from 9 am to 5 pm and from 9 pm to 5 am on sundays and holidays. The mess food is fine, better than many colleges.
Admission
The admission is through 2 modes, JEE and class 12 boards. When I took admission, 60-65% seats were through JEE and remaining through board exams. Application forms are available on www.jiit.ac.in . They are usually available around March-April. Reservation for SC/ST is available here. Counseling was in offline mode. The only problem was that it was very difficult to contact the authorities. They never picked up the call and there were often no replies to email.
