Excellent placement, wonderful campus life.

The college is excellent for academics and placements. The campus life is also very good. The college management sometimes prove to be very time taking but it resolves every situation very efficiently and take decisions fir the betterment of students.

I opted for this college because of three reasons- 1. According to my rank in Jee-Mains, this was the best NIT in Mechanical Engineering(as I had fixed my mind to take this branch). 2. I want to get some industrial exposure during my college days, so qs to know about the industrial sector working. As NIT Jamshedpur is located in an industrial belt of Tata and many small and large scale industries, so it attracted me. 3. The placement record of this college is excellent.

The course curriculum of the college is based on the latest syllabus which covers most of the topics of the course. Talking of Mechanical engineering dept. , the course curriculum includes the theory as well as labs and also regular industrial visits to know about the industrial work environment.

Yes, the college provides internship to students of the 3rd year. College invites many companies like for Mechanical Engg. students, Tata steel, Saint Gobbains, Tata Motors, BPCL etc. Stipends are like this- Tata steel- 10000 pm. Tata Motors- 10000 pm. Saint Gobain's- 10000 pm. BPCL- 30000 pm. Internships are for 2 months.

The placement of the college is extraordinary. For every branches, there are enough job opprtunities in the campus placements. As per the placement records- the highest package offered last year was by Amazon- 27 lpa given to 10 students. Moreover companies for Mechanical Engg. Students like- Tata Steel, Tata Motors, BPCL, L&T constructions, Ashok Leyland, Maruti, Honda, Hyundai, Hindalco and many more renowned companies visit for campus placements.In total- more than 150 companies visited for campus placement last year.

The fee structure is as per the MHRD, govt. Of India. For general category students- Semester fee- Rs. 83000 Mess Fee- Rs. 16500. For Sc/St candidates- Semester fee- Rs.20500 Mess fee- Rs. 16500. For candidates whos, parent annual income is less than 1 lac or in between 1 lac and 5 lac get their fee remitted.

Yes, Loan facility is available for the students. The college campus has its own SBI bank for the campus where all the loan facilities can be availed without such worries.

The hostel facility is awesome. A seven-story building in which every student get the single room. The hostel has 24- hours LAN- facility, Gym facility, TV, common rooms, indoor game facilities as well. Mess food is average, but it depends on the contractor of the mess.

Yes, the alumuni network of the college can be realized during the event of ALUMNI MEET held on the month of January every year. Many batches are invited into the college to relive their glorious college days. They come and share their experiences with the current students and faculties.

The exam structure of the college is like this- Mid semester- 30 marks End Semester- 50 marks Attendence+class tests- 10 marks Assignments- 10 marks. On total 100 marks are there for every subjects. There is a grading system in which students will get CGPA and SGPA as their grades.

After I got my rank in Jee- Mains-- 1. I filled the Choice List of colleges which I want to get admission. 2.I got NIT Jamshedpur, and I reported here for admission on the date mentioned in the institute website. 3. All the documents were verified by the admission desks which may take 3-4 hours. 4. At last the bank account of the student was also opened instantly for paying the fees of the college.

The faculties of the college are above par. Most of the professors had completed their P.hd and published many journals and research papers. There are many Ad- hoc faculties as well. The faculties are very helpful and guide every student to accomplish their respective goals and also guide the students for various exams like GATE, IES etc. But the faculties in labs are not much efficient and does not guide students properly.
