Honest review of Kalasalingam University

They provide a semester wise curriculum and subjects focusing mostly from small subjects to big ones with incorporating the latest industry trends of real world by both practical and theoritical knowledges. The improvement in course curriculum can be done by providing more practical subjects than theory and teaching methods are quite good with good faculties. The exams are mostly once in every two month covering mid terms and semester with practical laboratory schedules, difficulty levels are based on the subjects of the particular course.

Internship opportunities starts for students from 3 year 2 semester and companies like IBM, they provide access to their materials to learn the new trending technology like AI and its tools for B.Tech they also provide group projects after successful completion they also provide the stipend for the individual selected projects.

The students from 3 year 2 semester will be openly available for internships and prefered jobs by the companies and all final year students who has no arrears are open to take all the oncampus placements. Companies like Accenture, Zoho, Comcast, Kaar, Nutanix are some of the biggest companies with average package of 4LPA are offered and 70 percent of students are getting placed with average package. My plans after the degree is Masters about the current technology Artificial Intelligence.

The tuition fees structure varies based on the course from 60,000 - 1,20,000 for B.Tech and will be a fixed one, but will be a yearly additional payment of 10,000 for other purpose like labs and mandatory charges. Scholarships are provided based on NEET, JEE MAINS and previous academic marks considerations. The biggest college festival will happen once in 4 years where celebrities are invitied our recent invitation was Rithika singh and there will be also subject oriented cultural happening every 4 months like coding competition and other events. The library is open access to everyone with college sign in function with all books available in it. Sports events include tournaments will also takes place in the college with good infrastructure for playing and study purpose.

The hostel facility is not good as there mostly 2 to 6 hostels for boys 1 to 3 for girls where the hostel varies with their environment with some hostel has 5 to 7 beds per room. The meal quality are average and quantity is as much as you need with average hygienic of non-veg meals. The college locality has quite rented rooms available with quite good rates.

The admission process requires minimum percentage in the previous academic exams. Application form was usually available in the university official website with fees structure provided for individual course and they also provides a free call discussion regarding the course. Reservation is provided based on the government regulations. The semester exams are conducted mostly on the month of December and April with some mid-term exams in every 2 months with difficulty level of the subjects. Areas of improvement will be providing access to application form and information for candidates from remote areas.
